Fleece your regular customers?
I recently visited COLDRA McDonalds with my daughter and my grandchildren in 2 cars for a birthday party.
This site is halfway between us on the M4 at Newport.
After 20 mins wait, we received our meals and had a wonderful time and went home. The reason we used McDs was that my partner had just been released from 3 weeks in hospital after a stroke. I used his car. Now I have received a Parking Charge for staying in McDs too long. Surely this can't be right to charge customers for staying more than 90 mins! If I had seen the signs or been told of the limit we would have left on time. I used to be a regular visitor but now I will NEVER use McDonalds again. Way to go...fleece your regular customers.
The worst is having to tell my , ex-soldier, partner that there is £100 to pay to MET PARKING. On returning home I was unwell with a bad tummy, later that night my partner became violently ill with a Gastro Intestinal Virus which it seems I brought back with me. 2 paramedic responders,an ambulance and a visit from an on call GP later confirmed viral Gastro Enteritus.
After having cancer this year and a hysterectomy, I am going in to hospital to have my stomach removed with another cancer ! I was in tears, after bringing a virus home and then getting a fine for spending too much time at the party in McDs.
Well, I may never be able to eat another McDs with my 11 grandchildren again after the Operation in 3 weeks. I would like to make other people aware that their Un-happy meal may cost them £100 if they stay too long. Apparently there are signs up, but we never saw them. McDonalds staff said , smarmily, "There's a sign on every lamppost".
