Absolutely a lovely weekend less than 2 hours from Lille and Paris. Easy check in, our host was lovely and helpful with great dinner recommendations (all within a couple of miles from the cottages). Incredible view of vineyards and Reims Cathedral in the distance. Air conditioned for perfect sleeping conditions on a hot day. Spa and jacuzzi with champagne is a must.
This summer we wanted to re-visit the champagne area. We only wanted to wake up in the middle of the wineries and enjoy some luxury. We found this at Cottages Antoinette and much more! Very nice cottage fully equipped with airco and everything you need. The spectacular view made us not close the window screens. Finally we love Antoinette and her husband. Big kiss for Iggy and his friend, hope to see you soon!
When we arrived we were greeted by both the 2 legged hosts and the joyous 4 legged Iggy. As we were walked to our cottage they walked in front, hand in hand. This made us feel as though they were so proud and what they have achieved and so they should be. You walk in and it has everything you need in such a small, compact and controlled space. They have thought of everything and as you stand in the bedroom looking out you will have the same thoughts as everyone else .... we should have booked longer. The village is smack in the middle of the two major towns so perfect for location. For a first time visit the area it was just amazing.
We stayed here two days to discover the Champagne. It's well located near Epernay and Reims and very close to the Champagne route. The wooden cottages are very cleverly designed so for two people you have all you need (including airconditioning) plus an excellent view over the wine fields. Very good beds. The owners are very friendly people and speak English. Catering service is offered as well. All in all a highly recommended place to stay, especially for couples!
My husband and I stayed at one of Antoinette and Marco's three cottages in early June. They are so smartly designed: private, yet with beautiful vineyard views, the perfect amount of space for a couple or a small group of friends. The blackout shutters and quiet A/C mean you'll have a restful sleep and the beds are very large and have memory foam toppers. Kitchens are well equipped if you feel like rustling up a meal. Antoinette organised bike rental for us and we had a really enjoyable time cycling and sipping our way through the nearby villages. She also has a fantastic selection of grower champagnes available to purchase from an extensive wine list and the best bit of all is that she's a fantastic cook and can deliver a beautiful basket with dishes of homemade boeuf bourgignon or blanquette de veau to heat up in your own cottage and enjoy on your own private terrace, with local cheeses and other tasty nibbles and treats! She also offers a breakfast basket of fresh croissants, local honeys and jams and fresh juice, also delivered to your door in the morning if you want. It all adds up to a super relaxing stay where you can chill out and stay put, enjoying delicious home cooking in your own pad or venture out and enjoy the local villages and restaurants. Reims is about 20 mins by car or you can catch the train there from the local village. Highly recommended! …
