Spending our 35th anniversary at San Gorg boutique hotel was a great choice, especially when they gave us the lovely penthouse as a surprise! Great staff especially Craig the manager! Well done! Would recommend this place any time especially since it is in the center, citadella few minutes away
We stayed here in November 2019 for our wedding anniversary and could not have wished for anything better. We were upgraded to the penthouse suite which is excellent accommodation, with everything at the highest standards and with its own private terrace overlooking the square and the Cittidella. We were greeted by Craig who was exceptionally hospitable, helpful and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was served in the restaurant in the square which was also excellent. Thank you for an exceptional stay and if we travel to Gozo again we would stay here again without question.
Stayed here for a night and was impressed with our room, the cleanliness and the very helpful and friendly staff. Lauren provided us with suggestions on where to eat and was always happy to help. Definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back for another visit.
This was a last minute booking on spur of the moment and sometimes fate is kind! We walked in to this amazing newly opened BnB in the heart of St George's square. Thankfully a wonderfully sympathetic rennovation to a traditional building restoring it to its full glory. The traditional tiles throughout. The spotless stonework. Every inch done with respect and care. Add to that amzing host in Craig who literally couldn't do enough. His pride in the place showing in his smile and enthusiasm. Nice touch that breakfast can be taken in either cafe under same ownership in the square. Also with amazing staff. Will be back !!
While I have not stayed at this hotel I was shown around by the manager Craig as we were eating at their restaurant next door and I can honestly say you would not be disappointed if you decided to stay here on your visit to Gozo. This is a small hotel, (6 rooms I think) on the square at St George’s Basilica in Victoria. The rooms have all recently been refurbished making the most of the beautiful stonework, old tiled floors and beamed ceilings. They are all furnished to a very high standard. The rooms at the front have Maltese style balconies overlooking the square and the rooms at the back overlook a small courtyard( when choosing which room to book the ones at the back will be cooler and quieter). There is a disability friendly room on the ground floor, all rooms are accessible via the lift (but I would check if wheelchair access would be needed for the upstairs rooms as it may be a little tight getting into the lift). We will definitely be booking to stay here the next time that we visit Gozo…
