‪We ventured down the single track road to the car park and were rewarded with the most amazing views in this small shingle cove and waterfall. It is well worth a visit and parking is free‬

‪Perfect secluded cove‬

‪Beautiful small cove. Totally perfect place to watch the sun set. Don’t attempt the drive down the track to the car park unless you are very good at reversing!‬

‪A marvellous Rocky beach with spectacular scenery and pretty river waterfall - very rough road to a small car park - so probably best to walk‬

‪Place of Beauty but potholes approaching it are vehicle damaging‬

‪Beautiful place but the road leading up to the car park is terribly deep potholes which can do a lot of damage to vehicles even if driving at lowest speed possible it’s terrible‬

‪Beautiful beach and waterfall‬

‪The road down is a little rocky but we got down in out vw camper no problems. The waterfalls and rock formations on the beach are stunning. We didn't see another person while we were there. ‬

‪Couldn’t make it down to the beach as we would have been blown away...
we parked near the top of the lane as the road to the beach car park deteriorates and has no passing points.
We’ll be back once the wind dies down.‬

‪Terrible access for black sand‬

‪Beautiful cliff walk but steep steps or steep hill to access. Black sand, rocky, not a typical beach. Nice views but wouldn’t spend a day there‬

‪Wow what an amazing beach‬

‪Go to this beach for the beach rock formations, pools & waterfall. There is a small car park nearby - the walk along the river is however great. The walk down to the beach might be tricky for some - sturdy shoes / boots are recommended. ‬

‪Gorgeous little beach‬

‪This little beach is well worth the trek. Following reviews we decided to park at the Old Smithy Inn and walk down, it’s a couple of miles and the road is quite steep at one point - worth bearing in mind for when you’re walking back up! From the car park the path down to the beach is pretty steep so not good for people with mobility issues.

It really is worth it though, the views are stunning and the beach is so secluded, at one point we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. Very dog friendly although the tide was pretty rough (high tide) when we visited so didn’t chance the swimming although we did see a couple of people swimming!

Waterfall is an added bonus too.

A really peaceful place to spend an afternoon. ‬

‪Welcombe Mouth is a stunningly interesting beach with amazing rock and slate formations so much interesting views to look at! There is a beautiful waterfall leading into the sea! The beach is great for rock pool fishing, but not recommended if swimming in the sea is your thing! ‬
