‪Arrived just as it opened and originally opted for a self guided tour with my son. I am glad I decided to do a docent tour as the history and stories from the staff were amazing...over 3 hours of amazing stories that even kept my 13 year old son interested. Most of the objects are historically significant and quite interesting from the Lee Harvey Oswald assassination camera, restored ESPN 18 wheeler, fully restored WFAA- Dallas mobile new bus and the list goes on and on. Getting to see yourself on a real news set is lots of fun for everyone. It includes a weatherman green screen as well. Well worth the small admission price.‬

‪I was a little worried that my teenage sons would be bored, but they had a blast. Chuck was a fantastic tour guide, and my guys loved every minute of it. Best museum experience in Kilgore IMO.‬

‪This is a true gem. The museum contains all sorts of radio, telephone, and television technology from throughout the decades that were beautifully restored and displayed. There are quite a few that they've got working. One was an entertainment system with a radio, phonograph and television from 1948. The Siegel family first owned it. They also had several Edison wax cylinder phonographs that date to around the start of the 1900's. The curator, who is a media engineer, took us around and described and demonstrated many of the museum pieces. They are only open Fridays and Saturdays but if you are in the area well worth the time. I thank them for spending so much time with us.‬

‪If you're looking for a fun socially distanced activity, this is the place to go. We spent 1.5 hours with the founder and had a wonderful time looking at all the old equipment. The fully restored mobile radio van and the ESPN truck are amazing. Plus you are in walking distance of some nice parks and restaurants. A fun day.‬

‪Wow! What a treat to tour this fantastic museum for 1.5 hours with its founder, Chuck Conrad. The TV and radio equipment and video displayed brings back great memories, especially for me the old Johnny Carson videos. The old tube checking machines he has reminded me of my many trips to 7-11 to text TV tubes in the 1960's.‬

‪The focus is on broadcast technologies from early Edison recordings through radio and television. Beautifully restored and displayed broadcast equipment and the historic events and people that they were associated with. A television camera that was used in the live coverage of the Lee Harvey Oswald shooting at the Dallas Jail, a fully restored ESPN mobile studio ... the museum has them and many other historic broadcast memorabilia. Well worth a trip to Kilgore (just off of I-20 in East Texas).‬

‪Wish we would have allocated ourselves more time to spend here! My husband was a Radio, Film, TV major and loved seeing so much equipment from his early career. The curators are so friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to share their stories about the collection. This is a "short" drive from Dallas - definitely worth spending an afternoon here.‬

‪I was in town for the day and decided to go visit this museum, I had heard about it on the radio and thought I would go see for my self. I was blown away with the amount of stuff that there was to see. Whether it was the mock setups for radio and television to the vast displays of the history of the equipment needed to produce radio and television. I was very impressive with the shear volume of everything that I saw and wished that I could have stayed longer for being there brought back so many memories.‬

Please come and see us again! It is an always changing exhibit. We get a lot of visitors who think they will kill 15 or 20 minutes with us. A couple of hours later, they are still here. We love that, although the lesson to be learned is to allow a couple of hours for your visit. You won't be able to see it all in that amount of time, but you will get a good overview. Thanks for the review!

‪This museum is a must-see for everyone. They have equipment going back to the late 1800s - and it is all original and it is all works! There are broadcast booths, two restored TV station busses, a player piano, a Victrola record player, a TV camera invented by Jackie Gleason, and so much more. There are several rooms full of TV cameras, the earliest TVs from the 1950s, early radios, the first telephones, huge reel-to-reel tape recorders. The amazing part of this museum is that all the equipment works. Everyone who works in the museum can tell you incredibly interesting stories about each piece of equipment. Don't miss it!!‬

‪This wonderful and historic facility was a real surprise on a recent visit to the East Texas city of Kilgore. This is so much more than a collection of vintage broadcast equipment, but succeeds in presenting an accurate timeline of the history of broadcasting in America. The collection of radios. TV's, phonographs, tape recorders and more is unsurpassed . You don't have to be a broadcast engineer to appreciate the museum. Parents will enjoying showing their kids and grandkids how they listened to music in their day. Also onsite are fully equipped radio studios and an amazing vintage mobile television studio.‬
