‪We were lucky to have the owner take his time to share his wonderful wines with us. He imports from all over the world and we love wines from France and Italy. He is a very interesting man who truly knows wine. He is also involved in the blending of wines under his label. This is a destination we will go back to soon.‬

‪Best Wine Ever‬

‪Our server, Windy, was terrific. She was friendly and a good conversationalist. She really knew about wine. My wife is the wife expert in our family. She loved this wine. We ended up joining their wine club. She loved all the wines she tried. These are all European wines and very smooth.‬

‪A Gem of a Wine Tasting Experience ‬

‪Don’t be discouraged by the humble appearance of this tasting room. They know their wines here. They are the best imports from Europe. The wines are served by friendly, knowledgeable people in a beautiful outdoor setting in Texas Hill Country. We purchased several bottles to take with us and we will be back!‬

‪Head on over to Alexander Vineyards in Fredericksburg, Texas! Claude Alexander brings us the BEST of European wine exports! My favorite is Saint Emilion. His staff, Cat and Wendy treat you like royalty. From the moment you sit down, they are at your beck and call. Owner, Claude Alexander, is the BEST host, makes sure you are comfortable, and he takes the time to stop by your table to say hello. And their wines? Well, you just have to taste! Love the serenity of the hill country side view. Don't believe me? Just go!‬

‪Wonderful tasting‬

‪This was our favorite tasting of the trip. We had such good wines and a great variety of french wines. Windi and Claude were very knowledgable and wonderful hosts. The tasting area was a very cool outdoor back porch where we felt very relaxed tasting some great wines. Wonderful tasting and will be back soon. ‬

‪Don’t be deterred by the humble curb appeal! Took a chance on this place that paid off! Katie was one of the most knowledgeable sommeliers that took us on a personalized wine journey through Europe! She personalized our tasting by reviewing each of our tasting pallets! One of the best experiences in Fredericksburg to date!‬

‪Dissappointing ‬

‪Underwhelming, to say the least. We were super excited to come - and could not have left more dissappointed. No description of the wines we were tasting, just pour after pour with no dialogue. ( So sorry we interrupted their bookwork. )We had to stand up - no stools. Zero food - not even a cracker. We love wine tastings, but our heart was heavy when we left. Shucks. ‬

‪I’d like to start and say that Claude and his team have been amazing every time we visit. The wine, though not from Texas, is truly amazing old world and both the Alexander and CAS wines do not disappoint. I highly suggest stopping here if you love a break from the TX wines along 290. Also, best wine club in Texas hands down.

Fans of Bordeaux, Tempranillo, bubbly and amazing French whites must stop by and say hello!‬
