Beautiful area with some fantastic walking. Not bad to get to though It's actually quite challenging walking the path further east. Really picturesque and stunning wonderful scenery. We saw some seals at low and mod tide on some rocks about 500m west of more point.

We walked from Mortehoe to Woolacombe . We walked out to Bull point and Morte Point - Wow ! Stunning coastal walk . Must be sure footed if you attempt this .

Lovely walk round the headland. Easy to do in a couple of hours, seals on the rocks below us. Very enjoyable.

Having had lunch in the local pub we walked to Morte Point. The path was easily followed and suitable for the more unsure footed amongst us. Views were lovely, as was the weather. Also lots of fungi to look at. Great walk

We parked up in the carpark at Morthoe and did a circular walk past the cemetery out to the point and back again. Not particularly long but mildly challenging. There is a useful board in the carpark which suggests some trails you could take. The scenery and rock formations are stunning. If you have a dog then play the game and keep it on a lead as there is much livestock about

Did this as part of a longer walking including the SW Coastal Path along both Woolacombe Sands and Croyde bay. Classic coastline walking - you won't be disappointed.

This is a lovely spot for walking out to the point and viewing the seals.

Although the path is very undulating it it is worth it for the views across to Woolacombe and Hartland Point as well as Lundy Island. On a cloudless day the sunset is spectacular.

Absolutely stunning walk that we will be back to complete. My 11 year old and 6 year old loved the good quality geocaches on the walk too. Defo a way to get the kids going and we did 3 hours before realising we might not have time on the car park to carry on. Beautiful views and lovely weather. Can’t wait to come back

We have just returned from this walk and I struggled to find detailed directions, so here you go.
We started on the Esplanade in Woolacombe walking past the Watersmeet hotel towards Mortehoe using the road. Half way up the hill on the left hand side join the southwest coastal path and follow it to Morte point. Once past the headland we walked towards the lighthouse and found a path leading up the hill inland (wide grassed path) signposted to Mortehoe. Keep going and when you reach the village walk through the car park and follow the path up and over the hill towards a wooded gulley (very steep downhill section). At the bottom turn right and follow the path back to the Watersmeet hotel for your return to Woolacombe. Approximate walk time 3 1/2 hours.
We took it steady, stopping frequently and had lunch watching the seals. It was great to escape the crowds of Woolacombe and experience absolute silence whilst surrounded by nature. A fantastic walk for which we were blessed with beautiful weather. Highly recommend.

Hi. Where do you start this walk? Is it best to get a bus to Woolacombe and walk to Morte point, back to Mortehoe? I do not drive, so bus will be my transport. Or is it better to get a bus to Mortehoe, and walk to Morte point to Woolacombe? Thank you
