‪Very interesting place ‬

‪Well worth a visit, even if you're not a history buff. The building and surrounds are very cool, lots of great photo ops. Give yourself a bit of time so you don't have to rush, and when you're finished head across the road to the local bakery for lunch.‬

‪Small but interesting ‬

‪Ww were short of time but this small museum looks like it could be worth a visit. Nicely restored building in middle of town. Small admission fee. ‬

‪Worth the stop ‬

‪This lovely place has restrooms and just asks for a gold coin donation if you aren’t purchasing anything. The shed is filled with lots of homemade craft at reasonable prices. The ladies were lovely too. ‬

‪A Great Rest Break - Very Interesting‬

‪We stopped here on our way to Parkes. What was going to be a 5 minute comfort break turned into almost an hour. The toilets are superbly clean. There is a display of items from yester-year. Nicely presented and very interesting. There are also local crafts and food items for sale. Proceeds go to assist the local farmers - paying for their medicines etc. Well worth a look.‬

‪Had a great time checking out this place. Lots to see and its free or donation box is inside.Clean amenities. Very friendly I think volunteers to answer any questions.‬

‪A past era‬

‪Merriwa is a good stop if travelling from Dubbo to the Hunter Valley. Aside from the excellent bakery, RSL, pub and restaurants, a bit of time spent in the Historical Society is well worth the $2.00 entry fee. Mike the curator has lots of good information about times long gone. A period bedroom, womens' fashion, household and work items are aplenty in the society's rooms. Newspapers from the 1930's round off an image of a once busy town.‬
