Joe was very welcoming, clear with his instruction and made everyone relaxed. We did target archery, field archery, axe and shovel throwing and finished off with a bit of crossbow. All of the activities were great fun to do and the setting was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially those wanting to try something a little different.

My partner had a voucher for the falconry half day, which we finally got around to using. Absolutely brilliant day, the birds were beautiful and Megan was great at telling us about each of the birds. And some humour as well, in particular when one of the owls would not do what it was supposed to! You can tell Megan has a real passion for falconry and birds. Thank you for such a wonderful and interesting day :) Hayley

We would thoroughly recomend the half day falconry experience. We found it very informative and enjoyed seeing and holding the different birds in a lovely parkland setting. Amazing!

Had a great day on 21st April with a one hour Indoor Archery. Tuition was great and helped to enjoy the session . Lighting could be a little better in the barn . Highly recommend will be going back.

Had a very enjoyable time and learnt a lot about Owls! My instructor, sorry I didn't get his name, was really knowledgeable and friendly. I did learn all of the Owl's names plus some interesting facts about each type of owl. Also met a Harris Hawk and a chatty Raven.
The weather was windy but luckily my visit was moved to an earlier time to avoid the rain.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe's Bows.

Absolutely fantastic. Well organised morning from start to finish.
Both Megan and Amelia were brilliant and as there were only ourselves and another couple we certainly got plenty of time with the birds.
Megan’s knowledge and enthusiasm regarding the birds made the day even more impressive.
We were lucky with the weather too and the birds all amazing characters all played their part in what will be a day we’ll never forget.
The setting too was perfect and we did not have to do too much walking which was a bonus as my partner is somewhat disabled.
Once again an amazing experience.
It was a bonus too, to be given the chance as a spectator to hold one the birds too.

Took part in a half day falconry experience this morning, it was an absolutely amazing time. The instructors couldn't be faulted, incredibly knowledgeable. Worth every penny, will be returning and reccomending to friends. A must go. Megan and Emelia made us feel totally at ease.

This was such a great day out! We had Joe himself as our instructor and he was nothing but amazing! Archery is something I’d always wanted to try out and honestly had the most Perfect time. Will definitely be coming back with friends for the axe throwing!

My partner and I had an hour session doing indoor archery and it was great fun. We were taught how to shoot - two different methods - and had a lot of fun with some games too. We will definitely return!

How much is it to get in and have the bird display and the axe throwing , archery ?

I booked with Groupon £35 for two people well worth it but need to bring a drink with you on a Monday as the cafe is closed but better as we had the place to ourselves

Hi.Im interested in the falconry bird displays would like to know beforehand if there,s a fixed time for the display of your birds.

We had a whole days experience. 10 till 4. Thoroughly recommend it. Flew 6 different birds of prey. Barn Owl, African Spotted Eagle Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Long Legged Buzzard, Harris Hawk and a Hooded Vulture. I believe they fly different birds at different times of year. I'm looking forward to booking another day.
