‪I haven’t actually shopped in the bookstore much, but the coffee and cookies in this place are the best.

No visit to town is complete without a stop here.‬

‪Books and pastry - two great things!‬

‪It's always a pleasure to stop here when in town and browse through the bookstore and have a coffee and pastry in the cafe. Great service and nice atmosphere in both places.‬

‪Great little cafe in an indie bookstore - what more could we ask for?‬

‪Great little coffee shop is connected to the book store. Went twice, once it was nearly empty and the next day quite busy. Coffee was excellent, pastries also very good. While waiting for our espresso drinks we looked around the bookstore a little - excellent indie selection.‬

‪Great coffee, excellent selection of books, also toys and gifts‬

‪During our week in Daramiscotta, we shopped here several times and got coffee from the cafe every day. I shop in indie bookstores during my work travels throughout the country and this is probably the best small-town bookstore I've ever seen. It has a wide selection of literature, history, science, etc etc -- more than just best-sellers, but lots of those too if that's what you're looking for. There's a really good local section if you need guidebooks. Also lots of gifts, toys, games, puzzles, art supplies. The coffee in the cafe is really good and they even have some gluten-free baked goods.‬

‪Great selection of books, nice atmosphere‬

‪One of the better book stores that I've been to in a while. It's a big place with a great selection of books and other odds and ends, and the attached cafe is a nice touch. You could easily spend a few hours here browsing.‬

‪Go for the books and stay for the pastries‬

‪The cafe, after having been closed for a while, reopened with an upgraded pastry selection. The book store is terrific. Indy book stores have to try harder and they do. Grab a paper and retire to the cafe to have a cinnamon bun which are worth the trip in and of themselves. In general the selection isn’t large but everything is excellent. The coffee, sadly, is just okay.‬

‪Amazing selection and friendly staff‬

‪Thankful for the fantastic selection of books by diverse authors, authors of Color, and I was thrilled to find the new Marlon James book, Black Leopard, Red Wolf on the shelf in staff picks after I had visited 4 other bookstores only to find it missing or unheard of. So happy this wonderful place is nearby. And great little coffee shop next door with perfect window seats. ‬

‪Different but still good‬

‪Since the change in ownership this excellent book store has been changed somewhat but it still has excellent selections of books covering very diverse areas, many locally focused books, and the coffee shop adds attractiveness.
