Plenty of puzzles to solve, surprisingly hands on, great atmosphere for a room escape, one of best in CT IMO, definitely recommend to anyone who likes puzzles, history and nerding out a bit

Had a great time with the cub scouts tonight. They were able to see different locks dating back to the Egyptian times. We also did an escape room adventure and they had a blast. Great local history and fun all wrapped into one. Fun fact this is the only lock Museum in North America and only 1 of 2 in the whole world.

I've visited the Lock Museum of America before and really enjoyed it. I never knew locks and keys could be so fascinating, but they are. Now they offer an Escape Room that's challenging and entertaining in the perfect setting for this type of adventure. It's really a fun night out.

We went on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it. Who knew there were that many types of locks and keys or that lock go back to the Egyptians. The Armada chest was fascinating. The puzzle game sounded interesting but we didn't have the time for it. I would highly recommend this museum.

The Lock Museum of America is a real hidden gem in Connecticut. I have passed it for years but never thought to go in until recently. The collection goes back to ancient Egypt, but focuses on the local area's lock manufacturing heritage. Some of the locks are real works of art. Recently they started an escape room type adventure that was really cool too.

Wow!! Never thought seeing a museum in this way could be soooo much fun!! The adventure game "quest" was challenging, but not overwhelming. Surrounded by thousands of locks and keys, what a perfect place to have an adventure/escape/clue room/puzzle room experience!

Want to know the history of locks as far back as the beginning of time, it is worth the trip. Located in down town Terryville, it is very easy to find. Better check the times it is open and get a tour. The staff is really knowledgable..

The Naugatuck Valley in Connecticut was the home of a lot of American manufacturing and innovation. Much of the industrial revolution in American began there. Guns and clocks were two of the major products of the area, think Seth Thomas and Timex as well as Colt. Additionally this was the home of much of the lock industry in American, Eagle, Corbin, Yale and several others.
this museum is a tribute to the rich manufacturing and locksmithing traditions of America and specifically this part of Connecticut.
Its a very low key affair, but we genuinely enjoyed it and would encourage others to do so.
