This is a land mark of the city. It is located on the beautiful sand beach. The scenery is very good. Most people visiting this area have to take photo having background of the bronze mermaid.

Si trova sulla punta di Samila Beach ed è un po' il simbolo di Songkhla. Ricordo la foto scattata 22 anni fa e sono ritornata a farne delle altre ora, sono belle, con il mare alle spalle, è vero è sempre piena di turisti, ma dopo un po' di attesa si arriva ad avere il proprio momento. Proseguendo sul lungomare ad est la spiaggia è molto bella , peccato che il mare fosse mosso e non si potesse fare il bagno. Però attraversando la strada abbiamo trovato un ristorante di pesce fantastico! Non parlano inglese, sono proprio thai, ma li abbiamo mangiato dei gamberoni squisiti cotti al naturale, le salse piccanti servite su una ciotolina a parte, da rifare!

Why invest money on this, and a number of other interesting sculptures & facilities and then make no effort to keep the beach clean? Very disappointing.

Samila Beach is in the municipality. There is a clean white sand beach, shady pine trees, a mermaid statue that is the symbol of the province.

Samilaビーチの中央あたりに人魚像があります。私が行った時には複数のグループが写真撮影していました。髪の長い女性は、人魚像と同じ髪結のポーズを取って記念撮影をしていました。はるばるソンクラーまで来たのならここは立ち寄っておくべきでしょう。

ไปเยือนมาอีกแล้ว ชอบมากตนเยอะ ร้อนดี
รอบนี้ไปหลายที่ แต่เวลามีจำกัด ยังสวยเหมือนเดิม.วิวสวยมาก บรรยากาศดีนำ้ทะเลสวยมาก มีเรือสินค้าที่เห็นมาแต่ใกล ใหญ่มาก
ไปเมืองเก่ามาด้วย มีโอกาสจะกลับไปอีก ครับ
รอบนี้ไปหลายที่ แต่เวลามีจำกัด ยังสวยเหมือนเดิม.วิวสวยมาก บรรยากาศดีนำ้ทะเลสวยมาก มีเรือสินค้าที่เห็นมาแต่ใกล ใหญ่มาก
ไปเมืองเก่ามาด้วย มีโอกาสจะกลับไปอีก ครับ

เธอจุดแลนด์มาร์คสำคัญประจำหาดสมิหลา และนั่งรอให้นักท่องเที่ยวทุกท่านแวะเช็คอินและถ่ายรูปคู่กับเธอกว่า 50 ปี เพราะฉะนั้นอย่าลืมไปถ่ายรูปกันนะจ๊ะ แนะนำให้มาช่วงเช้าจะไม่ต้องไปแย่งกับนักท่องเที่ยวท่านอื่นๆ จ๊ะ

a statue on a rock at the northern end of the long beach. great for photos but not really worth the trip if you are not in the area.

Is there anyway I can rent a surfing board and get a surfing lesson at samila beach? Or where can I get the kite surfing games in songkhla?

Try to avoid the rainy season especially in December because flooding may occur especially in roads leading to Songkhla. Songkhla itself is ok since it it by the sea.
What time horse riding is available?

We saw 2 to 3 horse-owners by the Songkhla beach. They are there from early morning about 9 am to 6 pm.
