Our kids absolutely wanted to visit a snake farm. I first went to check the one in Diani town but it is a tiny place which did not really look worth a visit. We then went to the Jungle Snake Farm which is located about 8km out of town: although it was January 1st, the place was open and a freelance guide was available. We were charged 1.000 KSH per adult and the kids only had to pay half price (contrary to what is written in a previous post, we didn't even had to ask). Below 3y was even free of charge.
The guide was experienced and gave lots of interesting explanations so we were happy to pay him another 1.000 KSH. There were about 20 different types of snakes, as well as a number of other animals (crocodiles, turtles, lizards, owls, monkeys, etc.)
We were a bit short in time so did the tour in less than an hour but you could spend some more time, especially if you're interested to hold a snake (which we didn't)

Nicht mal ansatzweise artgerechte Haltung. Ist im Hinterzimmerchen mit ca 12 Gehegen (teilweise leer). Alle Tiere sind Wildfänge, die zu "Schulungszwecken" gehalten werden dürfen. Schlangen für 1 Jahr, Chamäleons für 2 Monate...
Der Umgang mit den Tieren ist furchtbar. Das Chamäleon wurde mit einer Zange zusammengequetscht und schreiend aus seinem kleinen Gehege gezogen und einem ohne Frage auf die Hand gesetzt. Das Tier war in voller Panik und nur am fauchen. Schlangen wurden mit Stöcken aus ihren Verstecken getrieben und gescheucht damit sie sich zeigen, ebenso das Krokodil mit dem Stock gepiekst damit es schnappt. Wir haben sofort abgewunken... Die 2 Krokodile müssen in Einzelhaltung in kleinen Gehegen sitzen, da das Große bereits andere kleinere Artgenossen verspeist hat, wie uns der Guide freudig berichtete und fragte ob wir ein Foto mit der Haut und dem Kopf des toten Tiers machen wollen.
Es ist mir schleierhaft wie das Erlebnis in diesem kleinen Raum, in dem nebenher ein Familientreff in der Mitte statt fand, von irgendwem gut bewertet werden kann.
In Summe ein Besuch von 15 min.

Total ripoff.
It's a very small place that will take you the most half hour . They have 3 kind of tours from 10$ to 20$.
They even charge same price for small children . For Kenya 10$ is quite an amount . This place is located in a bush in a village . When we came there there was a guy sleeping on a peace of wood who we had to wake up . While we were there there was not a single person there but us .
Few snakes, couple crocodiles .
Seriously it's a joke ..spend your money somewhere else . Typical tourist trap

The staff here are very friendly and cooperative. Yo have to visit this place!! If you had a negative view on snakes that will definitely change by the time you are leaving this park. You even get to carry snakes on you and take photos of such achievements. They also have crocodiles, chameleons, turtles, tortoises & an owl. Its truly awesome.

Nous sommes allés en tuktuk et nous avons été accueillis super bien le Monsieur du parc nous a expliqué pour chaque animaux des détails des descriptions sur chaqu un d eux.
C était très sympa les enfants on pu porter les tortues caméléons serpents boa et c était vraiment très bien dans un petit village où les gens on vraiment besoin qu on vienne dans ce petit village ou dimension très humaine.
Je recommande vivement

You can have a lot of fun here and hold most of the creatures. I'm not sure how I feel about the guy hitting the animals with sticks to taunt the
Though just so you can see them angry. The crocodile is kind of cramped too. He catches the animals in the wild and breeds them there, then he sells them to pet shops in Europe, although he is called to catch the dangerous snakes sometimes. He charges 1,000 shillings per person for the tour and his friends will wait outside for you and try to guilt trip you into buying friendship bracelets.

The place is very interesting - you may touch and hold almost all animals (snakes, chameleon, turtles etc.). It is recommended to go there with some locals as you may have to call the owner to open the place for you and the place is not that easy to find.

Takie mini zoo do którego warto się wybrać. Aby tam się dostać trzeba przejechać przez parę wiosek dzięki czemu można zobaczyć jak żyją tubylcy. Na miejscu różne rodzaje węży, jaszczurek, żółwi i krokodyli. Z niektórymi okazami można zrobić sobie zdjęcie.
Jak to w Kenii, na miejscu regionalni handlowcy, którzy będą próbowali sprzedać co się da.
