We came across the most beautiful beach - really laying on the whole ‘tropical paradise’ routine. It also had picnic tables and benches. Hmmmm. Was indeed time for lunch.

I believe the New Zealand Maori should show their attachment to this site with a more fitting memorial. Perhaps a statue or a waka in bronze. It always looks uncared for and shabby.

空港から時計回りに進んできて、ムリビーチに進む手前、最初の小島が見えるあたりの景勝地です。ムリビーチほどではないですが海がきれいなところです。

Ngatangiia Harbourはムリビーチの北側に有るモトゥタブ島の先に有る入り江です。
このビーチ手前にはここからマオリ民族がニュージーランドへカヌーを漕ぎだして出発したとされる伝説の記念碑が建っていて公園に成っています。
砂浜とかは無い入り江ですが歴史に思いを馳せてみてはいかがでしょうか？

Have now seen the spot where the Canoes set sail for New Zealand in one of the few breaks in the reef. Amazing that people could have such courage to go. In the small harbour there was a double hulled outrigger canoe which sailed here from New Zealand last week! So they still do it!

A great place to stop and rest and enjoy the view or have a picnic. No good for swimming current is way too fast here.

A very small harbor – room for on large ship or a maximum of two small coasters and not that busy most times we passed – on one occasion a luxury tour ship was anchored offshore passengers having to brave a trip in a lighter to reach shore to be spirited off on tours to various spots on the island

In Rarotonga to celebrate the brothers birthday, so of course we, that is whanau, had to go and pay our respect, to all 7 mauri. Early morning karakia, waiata plus we left a Mauri in recognition to Rongorongo (the Ariki of the Aotea vaka).
As others have mentioned Peaceful, you could feel the wairua. Felt it more on the pier, above the moana over by Mooring Cafe.
