Everything went smooth, communication by email and whatsapp was prompt , clear and helpful.
Snorkeling and hot springs next to ocean in the rocks were great experiences.
Boat ride was a bit topsy turvy so try to sit at back of the ferry and remember to drink seasickness pills 1 houre before departure. We will visit again and use greenislandadventures.com. While we were traveling in Taiwan we also rented a car from them at a very good price and Eddie also gave us a small tent and some pillows and blankets to camp at no extra cost.

We´ve met a car (Delica) from GIA (Green Island Adventures). Eddie is an honest man and we had no problem with him. We planed to make a tour around Taiwan and the last route should´ve gone over Taroko National Park. On this time (October 2019) there were serious problems with rockfalls because of a Taifun and we did not drive there. After Eddies advice to drive the beautiful coastline on the east, we drove there and found our favorite spot during our tour.
Three requirements to have fun with a car on Taiwan:
1. Read the contract of your car-rental
2. If you rent your car here: Believe Eddies words!
3. Be aware of the chaotic asian traffic on Taiwan (as a western tourist)
Thanks for your services Eddie. If we come back to Taiwan, we will rent a car from you again!

We spent a lot of time researching the best way to experience Green Island and Green Island Adventures always came up during conversations online. We sent a message to Eddie and he made it easy from there. When I had questions he came back straight. I appreciate that. We spent 1 night (we really need to make it at least 2 nights next time). A taxi picked us up from our B&B and took us to the ferry then, the driver ran in to buy the tickets and got us in line for the boat. The boat ride is great...I thought it was great....a lot of folks made use of the plastic bags on-board. Take sea-sick pills to be sure. Once we go to the island, someone was waiting for us on the dock and he whisked us away to pick up our scooter and then on to the 'hotel'. The hotels are awesome. More of a B&B sort of thing, some have breakfast, some don't. There is a little traditional type breakfast shop a walk away. We fell in love with snorkeling while we were there and traveled all over the island. There is some much to see here.
Green Island Adventures did us right on this one, for sure. Everything was included in the upfront price. We are looking forward to going again and stay another night or two.

Got in touch with Green Island Adventures to book a two-day trip to Green Island, as the logistics seemed quite complicated to us.
It was very hard to communicate with Eddie and he finally offered us a package for our trip. He wanted payment in advance before he would make the booking.
Because Eddie was the first rude and unhelpful person we came across in Taiwan, we had our guard up and we agreed to only pay for our activities when we met.
It appears this was the right thing to do, because on the evening before our trip, Eddie cancelled, said " sorry , we are now fully booked, please do not contact us again". So glad we didn't lose any money on him!
Fortunately, we managed to find someone else, who helped us out last minute, who said they were aware of the shambles that is Green Island Adventures, as they had to help people in the past who were stranded by them!
(sadly, I'm only now seeing on Trip Advisor the people that feel the same about Eddie!)
If you want to have a good time and don't want to get disappointed, avoid Green Island Adventures!

Thank you for your review.... you did not pay and other customers booked and paid, we were fully booked then...if all our rooms are booked what can we do? Full means full. sorry but we have helped over 9000 customers the last 16 years and will continue to do so, the fact that are so busy proves that we offer great service, we also have great reviews!

Haben über den Anbieter schon 1,2 Monate im Voraus einen Campervan für Taiwan gebucht, mit dem wir die Insel umrunden wollten. Schon beim Kontakt per Mail mit Eddie (Kontakt war sehr schnell), hatte ich ein ungutes Gefühl bzgl der Seriosität der Sache. War aber die einzige Möglichkeit, die wir gefunden haben, einen Campervan zu mieten in Taiwan, also haben wir es gemacht.
Nicht einmal 24 Stunden bevor uns der van nach dulan geliefert werden sollte, hat Eddie uns ziemlich unverschämt abgesagt. Dazu kam es, da wir geplant hatten von hualien nach taichung über den taroko zu fahren. Ist nicht ok antwortete er und wir könnten noch canceln. Wir wollten nicht canceln und waren gerne bereit unsere Route zu ändern. Als ich ihn dann noch gefragt hab, ob es denn ok wäre, mit dem van (delica) zum kenting national park zu fahren, wurde er richtig unverschämt, leicht cholerisch, und hat uns erst aufgefordert zu stornieren und dann in einer weiteren Email gesagt, er könne uns den van nicht anvertrauen, wir könnten nicht fahren und wären mit public transport besser dran. Dann standen wir da, total perplex über diese Frechheit, schließlich hatten wir unseren Urlaub entsprechend geplant.
Natürlich hätten wir unsere Route entsprechend angepasst, wenn man bestimmte bergige Wege mit dem Bus nicht fahren soll, da er zu alt ist...aber wenn man nicht mal zum Kenting fahren darf, ist die Frage, ob es sich lohnt den bus zu mieten oder sich doch lieber eine Alternative überlegt.
Eddies Art jedenfalls ist mehr als unprofessionell und ich würde jedem raten, die Finger von diesem Anbieter zu lassen. So geht man nicht mit Kunden um, lieber Eddie.

I just recently contacted Green Island Adventures to book a trip to Green Island. Eddie was quick to respond and the entire process was very smooth and professional. The accommodation was in Chaikou with a lady called Ms. Kwan, the room was quaint and the host was warm and friendly, really such a lovely little place with neat decorations and all amenities provided for. She helped arrange a snorkeling trip as part of the package and a diving trip with the Blue Ocean Safari next door. The snorkeling was a little crowded and it’s a pity you aren’t really allowed to snorkel by yourself, but the diving experience was great! The dive center also took a long a camera and after the dive give you your video and photos of the whole underwater experience. The host also gave me an electric scooter and driving around the island is a really magical experience, especially stopping over at the famous salt water hot springs. I would definitely recommend Green Island Adventures if you are planning a trip!

We rented the car for 5 days and Eddie was always prompt in getting my questions answered.
The car was perfect in terms of comfort and control. We had no issues driving this machine for our roadtrip around Taichung.
Strongly recommend this for folks who wants a English speaking friendly guy to make your road trip adventure in Taichung a smoother one!

Wir hatten für 11 Tage einen Mitsubishi Space Gear als Campervan.
Eddie als Vermieter war äußerst hilfreich. Wir haben ihn am Bahnhof in Shalu (Taichung) getroffen und er hat uns bei der Planung geholfen, uns das Auto erklärt und auf die Besonderheiten des taiwanischen Straßenverkehrs aufmerksam gemacht.
Wir hatten zwar das Problem, dass das Auto kurzzeitig mal nicht ansprang, aber hier war Eddie stets telefonisch zur Stelle und hat uns Tipps gegeben. Er hat uns auch versichert, die Ursache dafür zu beheben.
Es hat also alles wunderbar funktioniert. Die Kaution, die ich vorab per PayPal überwiesen habe, haben wir nach einem Monat (wegen etwaiger Bußgelder) zurückbekommen.
Kurzum: man kann Eddie vertrauen! Das Auto ist zwar nicht das neueste, aber der Preis ist fair und Eddie ist es auch!

My wife and I wanted to visit Green Island during our visit to Taiwan. We were having a few problems sorting out the logistics of getting there and arranging accommodation until we got in contact with Eddie from Green Island Adventures. Eddie arranged everything for us at a very reasonable price. We stayed two nights and our package included pick up from the train, return ferry trips, great accommodation with amazing breakfasts, hot spring vouchers, scooter hire and drop off at our hotel once we returned. It was hassle free and great fun and we were very happy with the package deal we got from Green Island Adventures. Thanks Eddie.

I came to Taiwan for one month in April 2016 and rented a car from Eddie at the best price that you can find anywhere in Taiwan. It is not new but perfectly functional and comfortable. I traveled all around Taiwan for about 20 days then the A/C had an issue. Eddie upgraded the car for the remainder of the month no questions asked. When I moved to Taiwan for graduate school in September I bought the car that I used before from Eddie and he delivered it right to my door. He allowed me to use the car for over a month (still in his name) until I got my local ID and he handled all the transfer paperwork. Eddie is a great businessman and will bend over backwards to provide excellent customer service. Keep it up Eddie; I appreciate everything you have done for me.
