في أواخر شهر أكتوبر من كل عام، وبالقرب من جنوب مدينة أوستن، ولاية تكساس، يُقام سباق الجائزة الكبرى الأمريكي. يستقبل مضمار السباق المشيد حديثًا ومكان إقامة الفعالية، حلبة الأمريكتين، قرابة 120000 مشجع يصيحون بأعلى أصواتهم. وحسب تفضيلك لكيفية مشاهدة السباق، فهناك أكثر من 16 منطقة جلوس مدرجة مرتفعة السعر للاختيار من بينها، إحدى تلك المناطق هي منطقة الدخول العام التي تبدأ أسعار تذاكرها من 1500 جنيه مصري.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. We’ve been to a few F1 races in Europe and so we’re really excited to come to Austin for the f1.
The city itself is great but the f1 is an awful experience for fans, way too many people and you have to queue to even walk to certain parts of the track.
Food is in the main average and expensive and charging nearly $5 for water is practically criminal!
The portable toilets are frankly inhumane (literally a hole is a portaloo) and that’s your only choice unless you want to stand in a 100 people deep queue for actually toilets (of which there are only two in the entire track)
It’s just one long list of queues queues and more queues.
The shuttle bus at best takes an hour to get in from downtown Austin and queues to get on them to get out are long!
COTA is not set up for the amount of attendees by a long way - we went to Silverstone this year with more people there and nothing like COTA!
We had seats at turn 15 which had two screens near it but you could barely see them to follow what’s going on, not a lot of atmosphere either.
Awful from start to finish, so bad that we sold our ticket for race day and we flew here from the UK for the race.
Only worth doing if you’re prepared to get hospitality!

The Formula One event was great but the venue staff misinformation, access to COTA and exit are terrible. We live in North Carolina and have been to many events locally and also to the F1 in Barcelona. We all know that internet signal at this events are sketchy and although the COTA website had a day by day schedule it was ineffective due to the lack of internet. In Barcelona they had posters so people could take pictures or simply see what was happening. Now, this is HUGE, the employees didn’t seem to know anything! Were they ever briefed on anything at all? It was our first time at COTA, we arrived on Friday and asked for directions to turn 9. We were directed to turn 19 and when we showed the tickets to the staff they let us in and directed us to “our seats”, Turn 9/Sec 8, Row 1 Seats 3-4 (instead of turn 19). On Saturday the staff looked at our tickets, let us in again and when we got to the seats there was people on them. That’s when we realized that they had led us to the wrong seats/turn. We then asked how to get to turn 19 and they didn’t know! We asked several employees at the Main Plaza until someone pulled a map and we ended up walking around 2 miles because it was at the other end of the venue. On Sunday we discovered that there was a shuttle from the Main Plaza that would take people around the track to those far away places, nowhere in the venue or the website was that information available or worse, the employees from the previous day didn’t mention it. So on Sunday we stop at the shuttle station, to begin it was a huge mess. There was a huge group waiting and nobody was organizing or making a line. We attempted to get on several times but it always partially or completely full and people were almost fighting to get on it. We finally were able to take the shuttle and when we asked which was the closest stop to turn 9 they said turn 6, we had seen turn 6 on our Saturday affair and knew it was far away from turn 9. As the shuttle was making stops we made a stop at turn 11, we decided to get off because turn 9 was close enough but then noticed that the entry line was like a 1/4 mile long. We walked a little to gate 10 (labeled as such) and it was closed, there was another gate after that one opened only for employees, REALLY? So we ended up walking to gate 6 (a mile later) because there isn’t enough shuttles and the two that went by were full. To make it worse the employee at gate 6 took away our sunscreen which was allowed Friday and Saturday.
On Saturday we decided to stay for the concert which was taken place at the Germania Amphitheater, just across the track from us. At the end of the Sprint we went to cross the bridge on to find out that it had been closed shut and we were told that a section of the fence was going to be opened so we could cross across the track. That never happened and what was going to be a quick walk across the bridge became about a mile and a half going around to find the entrance.
There was no information on concert start time just a TBD on the website. Needless to say the venue was a logistical disaster and whoever is in charge of logistics should be fired ASAP.
Now the roads and access are terrible. It’s hard to believe that COTA doesn’t spend a dime to have proper access roads. The buses had a hard time sharing the road because it is narrow, not flat and almost broken, almost like a made up road. Also, at the main entrance there are two signs for the downtown shuttle, only one is correct. If you go in the wrong direction you’ll end up walking about 2 miles because you have to walk back to the other entrance (the right one).
Suggestions for the owners of COTA:
1. Remember, everything in Texas is big. So should be the access to COTA.
2. It seemed that there were only three or four shuttles to move over 400,000 people around the track. Increase the number of shuttles as they were always full and nobody could get on them.
3. Provide sufficient transportation from the buses parking lots to the main plaza. There was only 1 shuttle and about 4 golf carts for over 400,000, they were not labeled so it was uncertain how to go from A to B. Do the math!
4. Have dedicated (and labeled) roads for these shuttles as private vehicles, motorcycles, and golf carts were crowding this road.
5. Open all the gates for these events, weekend attendance was almost 500,000 people.
6. Post plenty of signs with information, they can be used in all and any event.
7. Train your team in advance, they are the face of COTA and you didn’t look good this time. They made you look jacked up.

I’ve been to F1 venues in Europe. Been to nascar and Indy races I’ve last 30 years!
Love F1 races and personnel.
Texas Grand Prix is an absolutely miserable fan experience, period.
You need to be rich to participate. Other than paddocks, track and concourse are filthy!
Parking and traffic could be managed better by children….maybe they are!
Stay home and watch for free!
Waaaaaay better!

The US F1 at the Circuit of the Americas is an exhilarating experience. Be prepared for large crowds and traffic issues when leaving. Try to get a seat in the stands especially on race day. There is GA but the best spots fill on race day soon after the gates open. Make sure to catch the driver interviews at the amphitheater on Friday and Saturday morning. Going out on to the main straight at the conclusion of the race to watch the podium celebration needs to be experienced. You will need to position yourself near the gate between the main grandstand and Turn 1 near the end of the race. Other tips-buy a parking pass as soon as possible when purchasing your tickets, bring foldable chairs to the track each day if you want to be in GA, arrive early to avoid traffic, and stay for the free nighttime concerts allowing the traffic to thin out when leaving.

Compramos los boletos con 7 meses de anticipación por internet y sin saber nada fuimos desde Quito con mucha expectativa. La primera duda era donde parquear porque los precios en el propio lugar costaba como 150 al día y más, fuimos intuyendo que habría algo más cerca y más económico y de hecho hay varios lugares para parquear mientras más cerca más caro, nosotros los 3 días pagamos $120 y estábamos a 5 km del lugar, nos llevaban en una mini van pero se demora por el tráfico así que varios preferían caminar. Apenas se ingresó se vive una fiesta, hay mucho que caminar hasta donde se compre el boleto, nosotros teníamos que caminar 1 hora entre un calor terrible y polvo, pero al llegar con lengua afuera empezaba la fiesta, el mejor día por supuesto es el domingo donde se da cuenta que vale la pena todo. Los conciertos en la noche también son increíbles y eso está incluido en la entrada. Los precios adentro como es lógico es alto pero la comida es deliciosa y con mucha oferta. Se van los días enteros ahí adentro de 10 am a 11 o 12 de la noche. Queremos volver a vivir esta increíble experiencia en otro país. Disfruten

We paid a visit while on our Texas road trip and did the the Circuit tour. It was about 2 hours and worth the time. We got to see the entire complex and enjoyed being able to go into the drivers pit. Can only imagine what this place is like on race day. Highlight of our time in Austin.

Good: The practice sessions, qualifying, and race were wonderful, and the entertainment was great. We sat at the main grandstand and the bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. Horrible: Everything else. Every day we arrived people were sitting in our seats and we had to make them leave. People who didn’t belong in the main grandstand were in the stairwells and side aisles blocking the view of those who paid thousands of dollars for these seats. No decent seat security measures in place. The good sucked. There should have bend the same vendors at all turns or sections of the track. You shouldn’t have had to walk 2 miles for a $15 hot dog. Water was sparse on all three hot humid days which is ridiculous and dangerous. Lines for food and other goods were an hour or more. WORST OF ALL!!!! was the parking and traffic management. The lot attendants suck and the local police suck and directing traffic flow. Took 6 hours to exit lot T and get to New Braunfels which is usually 40 minutes away.

The racing is great, but everything else is as bad as it sounds.
I had a lot of fun, but got burned when the way I got to my seat at turn 7 was blocked for getting out. Seriously, at one point I thought there would be a stampeded around this bridge they blocked off for Billy Joel's concert setup.
Having no idea which direction to go, I of course chose the wrong direction, had to double back, then feel my way out from there. At this point it's getting dark, there's still 10's of thousands of people milling about in line for food or booze and I notice there's no lighting setup around the dirt paths or near any of the concessions.
Overall took me 3 hours to get to the shuttles after qualifying ended.
I would do again on a Saturday or Friday, never Sunday and I would avoid any seat that required me to cross the track.
If I didn't live in Austin I'd skip this one and do Montreal.

Pros: the track and F1 drivers were phenomenal. Had 3-day reserved seating and a parking pass for Lot T.
Cons: I think it was $3000 for 4 people. Ouch! The shops ran out of good merch on day 1. The food and drink lines were insane. And this was by far the Worst parking situation I’ve ever seen. 2-3 hrs to get out of Lot T every night. On Sunday there were 2 pedestrians that jumped out of their cars to direct traffic because lot attendant were untrained kids. We asked an official attendant if there was a quicker way out and he suggested we bribe one of the parking attendants (he wasn’t joking). COTA and F1 should be ashamed because it really leaves a bad taste.

We will be attending the race next month and trying to plan our logistics for arriving/departing COTA. We are staying about 20 minutes away in Buda. What do you suggest for getting to and from the track? My understanding is that the bus shuttle only picks up from downtown, so this doesn't seem like a solid solution for us. But I also read driving in and parking experiences a lot of traffic. Thanks for any insights!

Howdy! We are planning to attend the f1 this year in Austin and decided on the dry tent option Would love to hear other people experience. What was the atmosphere like on the campsite? Was it easy to go to different parts of the track? View to the race? Any pros and cons? Thank you

COTA shuttle services are available for guests within the property during select events, including concerts and motorsport events. These shuttles will run from various parking lots to entrance points. If you need specific assistance, please contact our Guest Services Department at 512.655.6600.
