Looks like a couple reviews below have said it all. Since returning from our overnight off the ship, all twelve of us strangers agreed this was the best tour any of us have ever experienced. We mentioned it each time we saw each other on the ship, and I haven't quit thinking about Incredible Egypt since I returned home. The memories are so pleasant that I've booked again next year with Alex City, even though I'll repeat the same stops. I hesitated just a little when Hany asked for my CC six months before the excursion, but he guaranteed he had been in business so long, I could be completely reassured. True. What sold me on purchasing the tour was the overnight at the Four Seasons Cairo. That alone was probably half the tour price! (I was lucky to be assigned the top floor/penthouse) and oh wow. I've traveled a lot but this was beyond beyond. Entry into the month-old GEM was simply a bonus --- the ship excursions didn't go there. A ship excursion is 12+ brutal hours off the ship and limits what you can see. This tour and Bahgat, the guide, were prompt, organized, thoughtful, respectful, educational, friendly, watchful, informative, and it was simply a pleasure to be shown their world in their beautiful brand-new 60 passenger bus. Hany has obviously worked hard to be the best in the business and he is. Kudos to him and his very deserved reputation as the best!

We only had time for a quick tour of the Mursi Abul-Abbas Mosque. Omar was an excellent guide, full of historical facts and intriguing anecdotes.

The professionalism, courtesy, and level of organization we experienced by the entire Alex City team were nothing short of outstanding. It really made our trip a pleasant and memorable experience. The booking process was very smooth and transparent. Having a representative wait for us upon our arrival in Cairo was a big help and made for a smooth entry. The bus drivers were excellent and always on time. The tour guides ( Kholoud and Omar) were excellent. They went above and beyond in terms of explaining the history of the sites that we visited. They were very personable and made us feel like family to them. We will definitely use Alex City Travel for our future trips to Egypt, and we highly recommend their services to anyone who likes to have a fun and memorable experience sightseeing in Egypt.

Hany Tawfeek and Alex City Travel - What a FANTASTIC excursion in Cairo. We arrived in Alexandria on the Holland America Volendam on December 2, 2024 for an overnight stay. We were greeted by our tour guide, Bahgat, who is an expert Egyptologist who loves his country and its deep history. Our 12-person tour group boarded the BRAND NEW 40-person Alex City Travel bus for the 2.5 hour transit to Cairo. Having never been to Egypt, I was stunned by the chaotic traffic and even more stunned by the driving skill of our expert driver, Ali. During the drive to Cairo, Bahgat gave us an excellent overview of ancient egyptian history, laying the groundwork for the further education he would be continually giving us throughout the two days.
Our first stop was at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) - only 47 days after the official opening on October 16, 2024 following 12-years of construction. It is GORGEOUS. Skip the Louvre and go directly to Cairo and the GEM with Bahgat! We spent a couple of hours there, but could easily have spent two weeks to see everything (and they haven't, yet, finished bringing a lot of the treasures from the old museum to the GEM).
Back on the bus, we saved a couple of hours which would have been spent during a lousy cruise ship excursion in a local resturant and instead had a wonderful hot koshary lunch (the national dish of Egypt) on the bus ride to Saqqara - the site of the world's oldest complete stone building complex - the Step Pyramid of Djoser where we spent another couple of hours including a walk to the burial chamber inside, and a complete walk around the outside, of the pyramid.
Following Saqqara, we rode back to Cairo with Bahgat giving us non-stop information about Egypt and everything we were seeing. Our tour included an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence which was beautiful and adjacent to a VERY upscale mall. We had a couple of hours to freshen up before getting back on the bus for our transit to the Nile for an evening dinner cruise which included a band plus a Whirling Dervish and a BEAUTIFUL belly dancer.
At Bahgat's insistence (and brilliance), we got an early start the next day with a fantastic breakfast buffet at the hotel {which put the cruise ship Lido to shame). We then headed to the pyramids (which is overrun by tourists - and dogs - even in December), but something you must behold in person to truly appreciate. I took the opportunity to climb up to the burial chamber inside the Great Pyramid of Cheops and I'm thrilled that I got that opportunity. It isn't something for the squeamish or claustrophobic, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Next, Bahgat had pre-arranged a camel ride for everyone in our group who wanted to participate (and indeed, it was everyone). Again, something I don't get to do every day so I was very happy to get a chance to be included in the group camel ride photo! Bahgat took care of all the negotiations for the price, including tip, and advised us to NOT succumb to additional pressure to tip the camel handlers since everything had been taken care of.
After the camel ride, we made a quick photo stop at the Sphinx (which was sufficient for me) and then we had a quick lunch at a local resturant before getting back on the road for the trip back to Alexandria.
During all of our walks outside the bus, we had an inconspicuous security person accompanying us to ensure that we didn't get separated and also keep the vendors from pestering us. He knew them and they knew him! This is a great reason to go with a reputable local guide and company.
After getting back on the ship and to my cabin, I realized that I had left my GPS on the bus. It is something that is easily replaceable, but I was regretting that I would be unable to record the remainder of my voyage, so I immediately contacted Hany on WhatsApp and he immediately got in touch with Ali. Ali found the device and returned to the port parking lot where I met him with 30-minutes to spare before our all aboard time. Thank you, Ali!!!
All-in-all, this was the best excursion I've ever had over 10-years cruising and I highly recommend Alex City Travel. Thank you, to all involved - Ali, Bahgat, and Hany Tawfeek!!!

Highly recommend this tour business. Had an amazing 2 day. overnight in Cairo. First class experience. Went to the brand new, incredible GEM for one of the stops. Our tour guide Bahgot was highly skilled in providing extensive historical information...and a kind, fun guide. Don't think twice...book with this tour company!

We can’t be more emphatic-Alex Cit Travel should be rated 10 stars. Our guide and his team were waiting as we disembarked from our ship. We were the only cruise ship passengers who went to the new Grand Egypt Museum. Our guide, Egyptologist and Archaeologist Bahget, used whispers to guide us through the museum, pointing out the most significant pieces and educating us with his knowledge. Next, again, escorting us at the Saqqara pyramids which are quite incredible. We all were able to enter into a pyramid because after a staircase down, it was an easy walk. The visit to Saqqara pyramids predate the pyramids of Giza.
Our meals were incredible. The two day tour just kept getting better. We are so happy we could see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx with Bahget. We even rode camels and took photos near the pyramids. The guide Bahget selected has the cleanest camels! Owner Hany booked us in the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo. Magnificent rooms and outstanding breakfast buffet.

writing almost a year later but the great service is unforgettable.
We were two families with two kids under 10; this is how we experienced it.
1. Always available on call and WhatsApp for any help
2. On time, we never had to wait for the guide and cab.
3. Cab equipped with packaged water and some munchies, fully A/C, clean
4. fluent English-speaking guides, enthusiastic and friendly
5. flexible when needed for the day plan
6. the feeling of being safe, we never felt lost or vulnerable
Strongly recommend.

Outstanding in everything. We did a tour of Alexandria. The bus was air conditioned, new and comfortable. The guide was amazing. She had 2 Masters degrees in tourism, one being on Greek Roman history!
She had great depth of knowledge of all Egyptian history and was great with the kids. Kept them engaged and interested.
This is a very high quality tour and service. I would definitely use them again.

I am going to refer only to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut near the Valley of the Kings. The temple has three terraces with large columns preceded by Osiris statues. The beauty and grandeur of the temple is unmatched and can be explored completely. I suggest going in the fall or winter months since in the middle of summer the heat must be unbearable.

This group is top notch. They were very capable and conscientious and were very knowledgeable about the places we visited. We were treated like royalty and even down to the simple things of having plenty of water for each day they were so thoughtful. Absolutely loved this team.

Yes it is possible. You'd need an early start. I'd contact City Travel. I found them very reliable.
