‪We visited on a Friday morning before they closed at 12.30pm. (Lots of places in Morocco shut on Friday’s or close early to allow for a special prayer day). The place looks run down and shabby on the outside with a few cracked windows and dusty displays in the windows. Don’t be put off. Follow the tap tap tap sounds deeper into the building and enter the large individual rooms where the artisans are beavering away. The weavers workshop was particularly interesting. They are happy to let you take photos and trying to shoot video of the speed of the shuttle is a challenge. The men spoke no English, and were sweetly shy, clearly having not much experience with tourists. They were happy to show us what they were doing and how they prepared the fibres, loaded the looms and measured and checked. A table in the middle stocked some lovely woven pieces at a better quality and far more reasonable fixed price than we had seen in some souks. The same sweet shy welcome applied to the leather workers in the adjacent room and another table of good quality (but dusty) products were also on display and absurdly cheap fixed prices. Had the brass and wood working shops still been open, I’m sure we would have encountered the same thing. We ended up purchasing a leather ladies backpack and a beautiful woven cloth large enough to use as a big tablecloth. I felt the price I paid was almost very reasonable, arguably too low, when one realises the hours of work and expertise involved. Please support the government run artisanal ensembles where you can. The proceeds go directly back to the initiative and provide the artisans with a steady wage.‬

‪This government supported organization is very worth to visit. If you want to bring home some original presents from Morocco, handmade artifacts, that's the place to check first.
Store looks like capsule of time, seems not very much visited as the products are sometimes full of dust, but all is hand made, from traditional textile, wooden boxes with mother of pearl inlay, to leather things, boxes and brass and colorful glass window typical Moroccan lamps, and much more.
Prices are fixed! In medina of Tetouan you can find maybe much more things, maybe the same quality but i recommend to you check first prices here, do not pay any price at souk!‬
