This was a hidden gem in Luxor's West Bank region. Omar, our guide gave my wife and I camels to ride on into the sunset around the village and beautiful lake. This was an incredible experience and would recommend anyone to do it. The camels were cared for and not abused like most places in Cairo. Omar and his colleague were very professional and kind. They made our trip worth while. Thank you!

Accueil chaleureux idéal pour les enfants ils prennent le temps de s'occuper de nous et de nous faire faire des magnifiques balades dans le désert ou au bord du Nil...

Very professional horse ride. Had individual guides holding lead ropes for the unsteady riders. Great look at the back streets of Luxor.

My entire Egypt vacation was amazing, but my most favorite day of our tour was when my friends and I took a camel ride through the West Bank neighborhood of Luxor.
When planning our vacation, I talked to my friend in Cairo and told her that I really wanted to take a camel ride while I was in Egypt. She discouraged the idea, as she knew the camels around the Giza Pyramids to be mistreated, sickly and having fleas. I spoke to my Tour Guide and asked him if he could find an ethical camel riding company who take good care of their animals. He really delivered when he found us Pharaoh’s Stables in Luxor. The camels were absolutely beautiful and our 40 min walk around the village and the banana plantations was relaxing and culturally fascinating. Our guides, Abdullah and his adorable young apprentices, Omar and Kamzee, were perfect young cultural ambassadors for Luxor.
Appreciating our enthusiasm, Abdullah invited us back to the farm/stables to meet the rest of his animals. My heart melted as I held a baby lamb and got to pet a baby camel and foal. The stables were clean and the animals were clearly well cared for. This experience was absolutely priceless, and it will stick with me long after returning back to the real world.

A wonderful family horse ride at sunset - through the village and wending through the fields behind. Kind and professional staff & cared for horses - a credit to Abdullah and his family. Our children loved it all. Thank you too for the best homemade fresh lemon we had in Egypt. We would highly recommend others come and find you too 😊

Hidden among the winding streets of the West Bank is an amazing place. These animals are beautiful and well kept. My daughter & I do not ride, but wanted to have a new experience. We arrived later in the day than we should have so did not get out to the statues of Memnon like planned. After a short orientation and meeting the rescue animal off we went. Our guides took us around the back streets into a less populated area and back to the stables. If you are an experienced rider or are at any level, Pharaoh's Stable will fit your needs. I highly recommend them and if I ever get back to Luxor will again visit, even if only to see the animals

I really love coming here - the owners of the stable are decent, honest people, and they take such good care of us. They keep a close eye on anyone who (like me) is an inexperienced rider, but they're also good about encouraging you relax and enjoy the beauty of the West Bank, especially if you're a good on horseback. We go out into the desert behind Medinet Habu and just ride for hours (going riding with the folks from the Pharaoh's is the perfect way to see the temples here - you can also go out to the area around the Ramesseum). I've even come out riding with children, and it's been a great experience - I trust the folks here. The animals are reasonably well maintained, and it's obvious that the family that owns the stable cares about their well-being even though it can be hard to keep them up as bad as tourism has gotten these days. When I'm in Luxor I go riding as often as I can, and I wouldn't go to any other stable. They also have camels and donkeys as well if you're looking for a change of pace!

We found Pharoah's stables after walking around in Luxor and the people were fantastic. If you do much travelling on your own in Egypt, you find out pretty quickly that anyone who speaks English is going to lean on you heavy to get every cent out of you. These people offered us tea, drinks, and were generally very kind.
The place is not-touristy and will adjust the trip how you see fit. Animals were well looked after. We did a donkey ride to the valley of the kings and came back the next day for a camel ride. The valley of the kings trip is something I will remember for the rest of my life, it was incredible. Will probably require you to be in ok shape since you have to cross a mountain on a donkey, but it was great.

I would like to know how much it cost to ride a camel or horse to the Valley of the Kings and to see Hatshepsut's temple from Luxor? I have limited mobility and long walks are difficult for me, especially since I want to reserve my walking for climbing the ramps/stairs of Hatshepsut's temple. Thank you :)
