Best experience in Egypt, you CANNOT SKIP IT! We had already seen all the othe pyramids and gone inside, but this one was more fun. There were no lines compared to the 45 min line at the Giza pyramid. And once you got inside it was not swealtering hot, and didn’t smell weird like some of the other pyramids. My favorite part was THERE ARE BATS IN THE FINAL CHAMER! Highly recommend this, please check it out if your in Egypt, you won’t be disappointed

The Bent Pyramid was very cool! It was built after the Step pyramid, but before the Red Pyramid and shows the evolution of pyramid building in Egypt.

De piramide is nog zo glad als de grote ook geweest moet zijn. Indrukwekkend verhaal, fotogeniek. Staat midden in woestijngebied

Essa pirâmide teve um erro de projeto e, devido a sua angulação, estava colapsando.
Por isso, tiveram que mudar essa angulação deixando-a com essa aparência diferente.
A entrada na pirâmide começa com uma longa descida por um túnel apertado onde pessoas grandes terão muita dificuldade. Depois há uma escadaria íngreme que nos leva a uma câmara superior onde há uma escadaria de uns 3 andares que acaba na entrada de outro túnel apertado que leva à câmara do sarcófago.
Da entrada da pirâmide, que fica no alto, dá pra ver Saqqara e a pirâmide de degraus brilhando ao sol.
DICA: Se pretende entrar nessa pirâmide e na pirâmide vermelha, vá bem disposto e com bom preparo físico.

Probably my favorite pyramid in Egypt, a mind-blowing experience minus the people of the other pyramids, in Gizah. Also, it is one of the first to be built in the country.
You visit the interior you need to descend many stairs, climb many others, crouch, etc. Not recommended to claustrophobic people (although one of us was and managed fine) or unfit people. It is doable however, you will just be tired after :)
Please DO enter as the inner chambers are pretty different to the others, and utterly amazing

It is incredible Pyramid to visit, travelling 70m into it is hard but rewarding this is an experience on a different scale and a must do

The Bent Pyramid at Dahshur was built during the end of 27th century BC by Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu, the father of Khufu, who built the Great Pyramid at Giza. A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was the second pyramid built by Sneferu.It is called the Bent Pyramid because of the change in angle from 54 degrees to 43 degrees approximately half way to its peak. There are no drawings or writing anywhere on the pyramid & it has two entrances.

Bent Pyramid, built around 2600 B.C. by Pharaoh Sneferu (Khufu's father) is the “Whoops! We messed up” pyramid as the bottom (still has some smooth limestone casing) is at a steep 54° angle before they realized it was structurally unstable, so the top part was adjusted to a shallower 43°. There was no other tourists out here in the isolated desert as we climbed up to the raised entrance, politely tried to feign ignorance as the “guard” greets us (and I am sure wanted to be tipped/bribed) and then clamber down a narrow 260 feet tunnel to reach deep inside this hopefully stable structure. It was pretty cool to see and to learn about.

Uncrowded pyramid with much of its outer cover intact. One can go inside, the climb is steep. Pick up a souvenir rock when your there.
