A nice oasis for were Jesus might have been buried. Peaceful small garden is worth the visit and it’s free! A pleasant stroll provides a view of skull hill, site of crucifixion and the burial tomb.

This was the only site in Jerusalem that I didn't understand the hype about. I stayed a block from it and went many times. They did a wonderful job with the flowers and were friendly, but otherwise, it didn't really wow me or move me at all, unlike basically every other nook and cranny in all of Jerusalem. Still, it was free, so I walked through it pretty much every day just to see the flowers.

Located just outside the walled city, said to be the burial site for Jesus but it’s disputed by some.
Beautiful peaceful garden that is very calming to walk around, luckily when I was there only a few people so could enjoy with the tour groups and loud noise.
Also located on garden is cave that is said to be the burial place for Jesus that is surreal to walk in and reflect.
You do get a flyer on arrival explaining a few things that helps but could have been more detailed.
Also places to sit and take in the history and significance of this garden.

I Visited this Tomb of Jesus when I Visited Jerusalem with my Friends . It's a Very quiet Peaceful place to Spend a Couple hours in . The Garden around the Tomb is furnished with Benches to Sit and Take in the Atmosphere of the Christian Atmosphere .It's Worth Visiting while you're here .

Our trip to Israel was the trip of a lifetime. We traveled with Blue Diamond Travel, a large group of 360, divided into 8 buses. We stayed with our group for seven days, spending 4 nights in Jerusalem, 3 nights in Tiberias. 5-star hotels, David at the Citadel in Jerusalem, and Gai Beach Resort in Tiberias. Each bus had a guide and driver. Our guide made our trip fabulous; he was knowledgeable on biblical history, both old and new testament, as well as current on the state of Israel today. We walked on average 3 mi/day, one day 6.5 mi; our group was senior adults. we all made it just fine, with plenty of rest stops, shopping stops and fabulous food morning, noon and night. Blue Diamond provided 3 professional photographers which took the pressure off trying to listen/learn and snap photos at every stop; they provided all photos at no additional charge, as well as videos and a coffee table book. If you are a Christian, interested in walking the Bible, this is the tour for you.

Melhor experiência da minha vida. O lugar transmite paz não precisa ninguém dizer que foi ali que Jesus ressuscitou porque você sente isso quando chega lá. a equipe que trabalha lá é muito prestativa e você pode ficar quanto tempo quiser dentro do jardim. é possível entrar dentro do tumulo e conferir que Ele não está ali. Ele vive.

Heel mooi de graftuin, een prachtige rustgevende plek!
We hadden een geweldige gids die een duidelijk verhaal had over de schedelplaats waar de kruisiging van Jezus zou hebben plaats gevonden.
Ook het bezoeken van het graf maakte op mij een diepe indruk.
Zeker de moeite waard om nog eens te komen als we in Jeruzalem zijn!

This place fits the descriptions on the bible. The way the tomb lay out. The way the rock would have been rolled to open and close the tomb. The Golghota, the Skull Hill, really looks like skull.

If you have to choose between visiting the Garden tomb and the tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, choose this one. This place has a great atmosphere and there are much less tourists than in the church. A nice souvernir shop with Christian and Messianic gifts is in the area within the gates. Toilets available too. Don't miss Gordon's Golgotha which you can see from the garden. Follow the signs.

Hi
We will be on a tour in Jerusalem on Christmas and wanted to visit the Garden tomb. Does anyone know if they're open that day? Also it's forecasted to rain. Any tips on if we need gloves and boots etc. Would it be it safe to walk around the Grand court hotel area and Damascus gate to get to Jerusalem.city? We were thinking of going to the city for dinner after the tour ends. The hotel is close by but we could take a taxi if that's safer. Also at the Dead Sea i was told the lotions and scrubs there are good. Is there any specific type anyone can recommend? Thanks.

Greetings, The Garden Tomb is closed every Christmas Day.
Hello, I'm visiting Jerusalem on october 28th but there's no availability at the official site of the Garden Tomb. Do you really need to book an appointment or a guided tour or can you just get there and go in to see the place? Is there a time limit? Thank you.

I was always there with appointment but it is because they assign you a guide a volunteer to explain you information about the garden. You can try just to go there without appointment or send them an email and maybe they can find you a place with other group according to your language. Blessings and success!

Check with your hotel (provided you are staying at one) concierge for information—they should be able to recommend day tours.If you want to go on your own, take a sheroot to Jerusalem an ask to be let off at Jaffa Gate—the Garden Tomb is about ⅓ mile from there.

Is this a garden that is open all the time or is it gated and have specific opening hours?

Greetings. We are generally open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday - Saturday. During the Covid-19 crisis we have been required to cut our hours way back to 9 a.m. until 12 noon, M-F. Desde la Puerta de Damasco, son 300 metros caminando, y no es necesario guía porque el Jardín tiene todo muy bien indicado, salvo que quieras información muy detallada. Ve caminando y allí hablas con uno de los guías propios del lugar.
