‪Una animata piazza del mercato.‬

‪Questa piazza affaccia sulla Drava. In un angolo c'è una torre bianca a forma di trullo. La piazza è su tre livelli: in quello più basso c'è un parcheggio sotterraneo. Poi sulla terrazza superiore un supermercato coperto e infine su quella ancora più in alto il mercato di frutta e verdura, particolarmente animato nella mattina del sabato. CI sono stato poco fa ed era tutto un viavai di sloveni che facevano la spesa. Per entrare bisognerebbe esibire il green pass ma non c'è nessuno a controllare.‬

‪Da vedere nelle ore di mercato...‬

‪Nel bel quartiere di Lent una piazza che con il suo mercato alimentare (è bene venirci nelle ore di svolgimento) rende questo luogo uno dei più vivaci di Maribor. La piazza di per sé non ha grandi peculiarità.‬

‪La piazza prende il nome da Valentin Vodnik, sacerdote, giornalista e poeta sloveno del periodo tardo illuminismo. E' ora sede del mercato di Maribor, principalmente di frutta e verdura.‬

‪Western side of old city‬

‪Vodnik square is one of the most vivid places in western part of the city, near tehe medieval walls. Square is a crossroads toward Art gallery to the north, to Drava embankment in the south. It is very close to the new Puppet theater. Square is a combination of open space, terrace with a view to drava and huge medieval tower (Judgement tower / Sodni stolp). Part of the place is an open fruit and vegetable market. You can meet locals there. It has both: a scent of a city and place where you can meet villagers from the area. It is very picturesque each Saturday.‬
