The professionalism and customer care at Cotswold Boat Hire is second to none - thank you. You saw us in and out without fuss. The boat, Jozel, was as described, the bed comfortable, a family size fridge was very useful also with lots of stowage and cupboard space on board, enough for any family holiday also the USB points made life easier; add to that the pre arrival information and arrival boat handling information – for us it was perfect.
Because of our youth – we’re 77, we were more than happy to let lock keepers assist us - we went as far as New Bridge - but, with only the two of us we did struggle sometimes with tying up and the banks were not always 'user friendly' and getting off the boat occasionally, on our knees and sometimes our bums was, to say the least indelicate and somewhat embarrassing.
We did though, in spite of our lack of experience, have a great time without any time table. Thanks for a delightful holiday - our friends thought we we're mad but, life’s for living.

The price wasn't too bad.
The service was excellent.
It was easy to book with short notice.
We had an amazing day. Two boys and their parents will definitely go back. Safety was important and we were all offered clean lifebelts.

Booked 2 boats at short notice to fill some time while staying in the area for the weekend. Great attention to safety which made us feel relaxed given we had 4 children (10, 10, 7 and 6) in our party.
Boats were perfect. River meanders along nicely with picturesque surroundings. 30 minutes gets you to a pub (though we didn’t book enough time to stop). Would definitely recommend to others - great fun and a lovely little experience.

We are the staff from Cotswold Canoe Hire ( non motoring , all arm and leg power ) we hired Raffles for the afternoon for our Summer Christmas Party 😁 Big shout out to happy , smiley Dan who knows his stuff and patiently talked us through the "ins and out " of our hire. We Had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon meandering up to Lechlade and down and drippings our toes in the river Thames. Raffles was very well behaved for us newbies and I would 100% recommend Cotswold Boat Hire for a tranquil , scenic day out
, getting back to nature and taking a little time out to just relax and enjoy the peace and scenery. Thank you soo much and we will be back ! 😁

Those reading our reviews : Cotswold Canoe Hire are the people with not only Canoes but the Swan and Flamingo pedaloes too just under the (NOW FINALLY OPEN) Lechlade bridge. They’re all the self-powered water craft and ours are all with engines. See you all at Easter!!!!

Superb experience! Excellent customer service, booked direct over the phone less than an hours notice. Upgraded to a larger boat to ensure we had a comfortable time. Easy instructions on how to use the boat, given a brief safety briefing and told to enjoy ourselves. :)
Beautiful location down the river, even had a fly over from the local armed forces which made our day after seeing some of the local wildlife too.

We had a wonderful relaxing day out on the river in 'Raffles'. Lovely boat with canopy ( it did drizzle a little!), crockery and cutlery provided, as well as a chemical loo! We had great fun gently meandering along the Thames with excellent tuition before we headed off through out first lock. Lovely staff team who were so helpful!

What a great and lovely boat yard with brilliant staff. We were met by Charlie, a young chap that was working hard cutting the grass when we arrived. he showed us to our boat, gave us a quick driving / sailing lesson and off we went, straight onto the water. The boats are plenty big enough for any group up to 6-8. They are quite nippy and turn on a 'ten pence'. The price is very reasonable and loads of fun to be had. Will be returning again very soon.

It's about the 3rd or 4th time I have hired a small electric boat with this company, and I have had a lovely time each time.
My kids and I hire the boat for 2 hours and make the trip to Lechlade, have a quick drink and then come back. There is one lock you have to go through, but the lock keeper usually does it for you.
It's a beautiful stretch and the boats are very quiet, so you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Excellent boat with all essentials as promised the young lady was very helpful and explained everything well .. she was an excellent representative for the company .

Is there a minimum age that can go on the boats

H, I am sorry I can't get it to post the answer - I will try again! There is no minimum age for being on board one of our boats - though under 6 weeks can be tiring/hard work for mum.
The Skipper of the hire and lead name of booking must be over 21 years of age.
