Beach number one!
We stayed at the lido crag (1 umbrella two sunbeds in the front row 20 euros + 5 parking at trattoria da Lorenzo).
Pebble beach not very deep and where tourist boats do not stop.
The only flaw is that at 16 the mountain already shades most of the beach.
Far superior than vignanotica

Lovely beach!
We stayed at Lido Azzurro and we loved it: modest prices (20 euros for umbrella and 2 sunbeds + 5 euros for parking), friendly and kind staff, clean and well equipped beach. Highly Recommendation and will definitely return.

Bad experience,
If you go equipped for the free beach no problem, but if you want to enjoy the comfort 'of the 5 bathing establishments forget it in August!
They only take Reservation for Sunbeds with Umbrellas, we arrived at 10:00 and they were more than half free and everyone told us they were already reserved.
So I went back in the car that I left in one of the 5 parking lots owned by the 5 lidos where they ask you 5 euros without issuing the receipt of course and the valet explained to me that 'normal, practically until one o'clock you keep free a certain number of sunbeds and umbrellas for those who eat at the restaurant who then also asks for the beach, practically pretend that you eat from them and then for 10 euros they leave you the umbrella, a sort of generalized blackmail that they practice only on this beach.
We finally settled on the free beach, we did not give in to blackmail, the view and the sea and 'very beautiful, but we will never return, the service and' really bad, they have to learn from the places really welcoming and tourist, a shame!

Excellent cottage complex in the middle of a century-old olive grove located on the mattinatella bay with a spectacular panoramic view of the entire bay. Directly attended by their owners Ezio and Madame. With international food restaurant.

Gorgeous, crystal clear water with five shades of color, from turquoise to dark blue. Wonderful. We stayed in the free beach and had a great time. With pebbles, so take some shoes with you.

A beautiful place a few kilometers from Manfredonia and Vieste. Unlike Mattinata where the sand and fine here there is a pebble beach with a deep sea a few steps from the shore. The establishments are all close, and all have parking but you can also opt for the free beach. Personally visit the more than honest prices I would recommend the comfort of a sunbed and an umbrella. Recommended

Mattinata is a small, cozy and welcoming town located in the province of Foggia, Puglia, in southern Italy. If you remember the shape of Italy, the boot has a small spur - this is where this town is.
It lies on the Adriatic coast and is surrounded by mountains. It attracts with its beauty and unique atmosphere. This city is not very popular with Russian-speaking tourists and that has its charm. Mostly, Italians come here to rest.
Nor is it easy for us to get from Rome (unless you're by car): we usually make three bus transfers. But we were lucky to get two connections.
The city was founded in the 1st century AD and has a rich history. Here you can see the ruins of ancient Roman cities and the Monte Saraceno necropolis.
But the city fell in love with us not with that, but with its snow-white streets with two- or three-story cabins. Walking through them, we knew this was the real Italy.❤️
In all our walks around town, we never heard a Russian speech. On the 4th day of their stay, strolling once again and discussing something enthusiastically, suddenly heard the words addressed to them: "Oh, are you Russian?!" It was very unexpected for us. A woman called us to her house.
After talking to her, it turned out that she was originally from the Czech Republic but moved here to Mattinata a long time ago and opened her own pizza place. She was very pleasantly surprised to meet Russian speech, as she liked the language, but spoke it poorly herself. She asked me to teach her a few Russian words (like "glass"), bought us pizza and invited us to come to her again. We, in turn, left her a small souvenir - 100 rubles: which she was utterly happy about (by the way, we realized that the best souvenir for everyone is money. Matryoshki and the like are not as happy as the national currency)
This is how our days have been in this city: interesting stories (such as the one about lemons) have appeared quietly, measuredly and occasionally.
By the way, here are also some of Italy's cleanest beaches on the Adriatic Sea because it is here a large national park with rare plant species.
We only spent 5 days here, but they turned out to be the most memorable of the whole Italy trip.

We stayed at the free beach on a day with not very promising weather, which actually turned into a beautiful day.
Uncrowded, beautiful sea, great lido bar service (very nice bartender), very calm sea. Great for bathing even with our dog.
Too bad for some abandoned rubbish towards the bottom of the cliff (but this is not the fault of the beach).

Easily accessible; on the access road various parking lots. On the beach several establishments and stretches of free beach. Very nice part of the coast. To see.

Lo spazio libero è minimo ed è il più lontano da Mattinata, max 40 mq, va all'ombra molto presto,per le 16 forse, si arriva parcheggiando in un spazio privato fra gli uliveti da cui si accede alla spiaggia da un camminamento breve ed una scala in mezzo alle roccie.
