We bought 2 trips in Maderia Discoverers: West Tour full day and East tour jeep. These were two wonderfully spent days. Fantastic guides, interesting places, you can calmly admire the landscapes. I recommend the company 100%, pick-up from the hotel. Next time we will also use your trips, greetings to the whole team!

Used this company last year for nuns Valley half day and again today for West Coast. Lovely, small( 8 of us), punctual excursions with laid back, informative and calm drivers. I think today the driver was Alberto apologies if incorrect. Yes they do all the tourist stops but it feels a bit more of a personal tour of this stunning island that can be hard to navigate by public transport, than the big coach trips. Highly recommended.

We did the West, East tour and Nuns Valley under the knowledgeable and charming guidance of Benjamin. Great transport, fine ambience, relevant explanations — not too much, not too little — breathtaking locations. Highly recommended!

We spent 2 full days (9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and a half day (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) in the company of Joâo, an exceptional driver and guide, visiting the island of Madeira which is just a paradise! The island is unique, of pure and incredible beauty.
We had all the useful information because Joâo speaks 5/6 languages and that is really appreciated.

We have done both the West and East tours on our holiday in Madeira. Both times we were driven and guided by Benjamin who gave us an excellent experience - friendly. knowledgeable and a superb driver. The tours were carefully planned to show us the maximum number of interesting sights whilst giving us just the right amount of time to explore on our own. We have done lots of tours over the years and these two really ranked the highest for interest and enjoyment. Thank you!!

I have done both, the West Coast and the East Coast Trip with Madeira Discoverers, both were outstanding and so much fun.
Alex was superb with booking and arranging things and Benjamin, our driver and tour guide was extremely knowledge. He brought the different places to life, knew so much about the island and its history, and was a superb driver on tight and busy roads. I highly recommend the day trips with these guys! Reinhild

Both of our tours were thrilling and fascinating! There were only two couples for the mini-van tour to the Nun's Valley with Norbert, who was extremely knowledgeable and very enjoyable company. The 8 to 16 person van tour of the west with Benjamin was also not to be missed. He is a personable young man who has lived in Madeira all of his life, was full of information, and an excellent driver on the challenging route throughout the mountainous and stunning landscape. We highly recommend this company!

Both guides we had were great - very friendly & professional. Loved asking questions about the history and culture etc. Went on a few tours with this company.. East, West & Nuns Valley. Such a beautiful Island

The tour with Norbert to the Nonnental was great. He had a very relaxed personality that spread throughout the entire minibus. You could also tell that he had a lot of knowledge about the island, both in relation to the tour and all the other questions that were asked. All in all, a tour that I can only recommend!

Just got back from a husband and wife trip to Madeira staying at Pestana Village, Funchal. We intended to travel around the island and saw the Madeira Discoverers booth on Avenida Do Infante. Outside was a board advertising a deal for 3 trips for 75 Euros per person (Food not included), in a small mini bus. One trip was to the Eastern half of the island, one to the Western half. They were both full day tours (About 9.30am - 5.20pm) The other was a half day tour to an area known as Nuns Valley. We booked the trips and were picked up and dropped off at the hotel. Each trip took us up into the mountains from one stunning view to another. The east and west trips also took us along the coastal roads. We stopped at various small towns, villages, scenic locations and view points for various amounts of time to explore on foot and take pictures, and lunch (on the full day tours). We were fortunate to have good clear days. On the Eastern trip we also stopped off to walk 30minutes on a Levada walk to a fantastic view point in the mountains. The island is beautiful. Fatima did our booking. Our guides were Benjamin for the East. He's fluent in several languages. Lucas, aka J.J. for the west. He's only done the job for a few months and Norbert, fot the Nuns Valley, he's very knowlegable and great company. All were extremely knowlegable, helpful and friendly. The guides went out of thir ways to ensure we had a great time. All in all, 3 great trips, thank you.

Is the mini tour suitable for someone elderly who can walk about 100 yards then must stop for about 5 minutes before walking again and stopping again? Will he be able to see the views or will the walks be too long? Also please quote the cost per person. Many thanks.

Hello ; all the walks at the stops are optional , the only constraint would be the return time set by the guide.
