‪Excellent service‬

‪We got nothing but perfect service from Gennaro and the company.
Bikes delivered on time to our hotel and everything was really good. I should have gave them 4.5 stars….
The missing half star is because the bikes weren’t the highest level but still good enough‬

‪Super convenient bike rental‬

‪Renting a bike from Veloce was super convenient and easy! Gennaro was very helpful and responsive. Being able to pick up the bike in one city and drop it off in another was very convenient.‬

‪Flexible and great communication‬

‪Great bike and super service! Thanks for the flexibility Gennaro and the good communication from start to finish. I highly recommend it if you’re planning a bike ride in southern France or you’re looking for a bike to participate in a triathlon. ‬

‪An appalling experience!‬

‪Appalling…4 of us hired bikes to cycle around the Dolomites, and we had no end of troubles, from start to finish…the first guy handed his bike back straight away as he was promised disc brakes, but the bike was supplied with pad brakes…the second guy had MAJOR issues with the bearings in the stem, had rusted and were missing (according to the bike mechanic who serviced the bike due to strange noises and vibrations- he claimed the bike was very unsafe and dangerous - photos attached)…this same bike also had major problems with the disc brakes. My bikes seat post screw was threaded, resulting in me not being able to adjust the seat at all, and needing this repaired…the fourth bike was in very poor condition with rusted spokes (one of which broke on the last day)…we were all inconvenienced over our week by this, having to make several trips into Corvara to get the bikes repaired, or to substitute the bike for the day so that we could ride. Although Gennaro reimbursed us for some costs, his attitude was “well this is what happens when you hire bikes”…he didn’t seem to care, tried to deflect blame and at one point called one of us a liar…our holiday was largely spoiled by this guy, especially when our other friends were hiring brand new bikes trouble free…do not go with this guy, you will regret it!‬

Some reviews deserve to be answered just to clarify for the reader. For clarity to the reader: when we have quoted your rental, as for all customers, we show all the models belonging to the category. When a customer accepts the quote, he accepts the bicycle category, in this case the carbon road bike, and therefore accepts to receive one of the models indicated in our link. (with or without disc brakes) We have also accommodated 3 of your group by giving you bicycles with disc brakes. For the fourth cyclist, we indicated from the quote that we would supply a Giant bicycle with pad brakes. Having clarified this, it is important to indicate that your technical assistance request was received 6 days after signing the contract. When you was very happy about the bikes. (unfortunately I can't upload the picture of your smile we shot in the occasion of the delivery). At time of the deliveries we never received any complaint about the quality of the bikes. Our bicycles are rented every day and travel hundreds of kilometers every day. We do preventative maintenance but you never know when a bearing fails. Protective rust is natural in the bearings especially if you ride in the rain (and during your rental we had the wettest week of the season, with floods in several regions of Italy). If you are a cyclist you should know this detail. Furthermore, I have never indicated "well this is what happens when you hire bikes". This statement of yours is false. Instead, I have reimbursed and given maximum real time assistance during your need to repair the bicycle (we also reimbursed the rental of a replacement bicycle) A spoke breaks not because of the rust it could have if the enamel comes off, but when a customer takes a pothole. Obviously the mechanic who supplied you with the spare bicycle and repaired ours could do nothing but speak ill of me, for bring grist to his mill. For me, the concept for which Tripadvisor appears to be a tool in which to vent anger and malice always remains. We probably remain the longest-lived and healthiest bike rental with delivery in Europe, before and after the covid. For me, the best references remain the photos of the thousands of people who have cycled with my bicycles from 15 years to today. Obviously thank you for cycling the Dolomites using our bikes.

‪Fantastic trip‬

‪I did a solo bike trip from Napels to Brindisi and it was fantastic
I had a nice Bianchi bike and the delivery (in Napels) and pickup (Brindisi) were perfect.
It was not thé first time and not the last time with Veloce, Thanx Gennaro ‬

‪Veloce rentals is the way to go!‬

‪We (6 people) live in the US and biked from Trieste (It) to Pula (Cr). Gennaro was very helpful, communicative, and accommodating with the bikes, bike delivery in Trieste, and bike pick-up in Pula. With the bikes, we received panniers, locks, helmets, emergency tools, and spare inner tubes. The ride was mostly on gravel trails and the bikes performed perfectly. Some repairs were needed, but all tools and inner tubes provided solved the problem. It is so nice to be able to deal with someone you can count on and trust when that far away.‬

‪Gennaro is very good in his business. We rented bikes second year in a row. We’ll rent bikes next year as well. Honestly i do not know if there is better service in Europe.‬

‪It's a really good service and we are repeat customers‬

‪This is our 4th time we have used Veloce Bike rental in Italy. It's a really good service where Jerry will deliver bikes throughout Italy. This time we picked up the bikes in Terni and dropped them back in Foligno. The previous time we had the bikes delivered to Venice.

What we particularly like is that we have the freedom to pick up bikes in one location and drop off in another location and we are more than happy to pay for this service so we can be flexible in our trips. On another trip we had the bikes delivered to Verona and picked up in Padua.

We always rent the hybrid bikes as they have the straight handlebars with the brakes on the top which is less of a stretch to reach (compared to road bikes that Jerry also offers) and more pleasant for country lane cycling.

The bikes are always in top condition and he provides bike locks, a pump, puncture repair kit and spare tubes. He also offers helmets but we bring our own.

We love our Easter cycling in Italy and Jerry is easy to deal with and provides a stress free service. Highly recommended!‬
