Absolutely beautiful leather and fur coats. Art meets function. Gorgeous, luxurious coats with exceptional quality and design in every piece. It is hard to choose just one or stop at one. Franco and his team were such a pleasure to deal with. They were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I will be back for another coat on my next visit to Florence ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We walked in there one night because I love jackets, and a leather jacket might be the king of jackets. I was in there for 2 minutes and the owner Franco had picked out the jacket that I was going to buy. The size and style was magical.
Asked me where I came from and then we talked about my home for about 30 minutes while I contemplated spending the most I ever imagined on a jacket.
Here are the reasons I bought from him:
1. He was incredibly personable
2. Lifetime warranty
3. Absolutely amazing looking jacket.
4. You never have to treat it, the only thing you do is some times use a hair dryer to kill the bacteria living in your jacket

Franco and his family owned business have the highest quality leather I’ve come across. As funny as it sounds going into his store was one of our favorite memories during our weekend trip to Florence. He and his family treated us like family, plenty of red wine and good laughs. Not pushy and great hospitality.

Franco knows exactly what will look good on you. He showed my wife a jacket and it was perfect on her. I went back to buy it for her as a surprise, and had it shipped to the US without telling her. Later in the day when we walked by the shop and he saw her he said “I’m so sorry but the jacket you love sold.” So, not only does he have great jackets, he is also a great actor. Imagine my wife’s surprise when I gave her the coat. Florence to North Carolina in 3 days. If you are going to Florence and you want high quality leather, go to David 2 Leather and ask for Franco. It’s the best you can get. Tell him Larry Basirico sent you.

What could be better than having Uncle Franco fit you for a leather jacket? Although his name is not David, his face is superimposed on all the bags. My husband bought me a beautiful leather jacket embellished with tiny swarovski crystals while sipping Franco's own vintage of David 2 vino. What a fun experience. Magnifico!

Franco and his family are truly genuine and a genius in his style along with the consistently of high quality leather.
My latest purchase is a suede 3/4 jacket with lace cut leatherwork that’s taken a massive amount of time to cut, it’s so stylish and retro funky at the same time and I feel very elegant wearing it.
I highly recommend my clients of my travel agency business to visit the store, David 2 is 100% Italian owned and operated by a multi generational family who have so much passion for their artful designs, they also proudly do not pay commissions to tour guides so you know you are shopping in confidence and not being conned.

My wife and I have been all over Europe and to Italy and Florence multiple times. There are leather shops everywhere. This one is truly unique. The style, craftsmanship and quality that Franco manufactures in his factories and has in his store is absolutely amazing and like no place else I have seen. His staff is as professional as you will find. They don’t try to oversell you and recommend things that fit your style. One of a kind!

Wonderful shop - the designs draw you in, the wine relaxes you, and the sales team brings you just what you were looking for (even if you didn't realize you were looking for anything!!!).. The most beautiful leather and fur coats and jackets for men and women, exquisitely made. And anything you buy is guaranteed, truly. Does your coat need to be resized (up or down)? Did you get a small tear? No matter, Franco and his team will make sure your coat fits you perfectly and that any tear is repaired for no extra cost. I have had to take advantage of both services (lost weight and had a small tear in my coat, my husband a small tear at the pocket of one of his jackets - both sustained through normal wear) and we are more than satisfied with the service we have received. We have each bought 3 jackets each in Florence and I just received my Christmas present, purchased at the NYC trunk show - the gorgeous Picasso coat.
Franco may well be the best salesman in the world. He knows his product and knows exactly what will look best on you and what will work best for your needs. He does not just hand the same coat to everyone who walks in his store. He finds the piece that you will not want to take off and gives you a price that makes it easy (well, easier) to take the coat home!

I purchased a leather jacket from your trunk show in Potomac MD in Jan 2015. My measurements were taken at the time, ut when the jacket arrived in late April, the sleeves were too long! I will be in Florence in late September for 4 days, and wanted to know if I could bring the jacket back to your store to have the sleeves shortened. I'd like to be able to wear the jacket to my next destination. Is this possible?

Excuse us for late answering you on tripadvisor but we did our best satisfy you with the best merchandise that you have. Unfortunately the only reason that we was in delay with your order and late answering you it was like we was explaining you on the phone because it was to be a coustum made a coat at the new collection 2016 and to produce that item it getting around 4- 7 weeks before to be ship it... We are excuse for delay again but the factory in august it is close it for all intire month ... everybody was in vacation holydays and at previus e-mails we have explain for your beautiful wife the reason and she was agree with that. Again send you truly apologise but we did our best and even it we was slidly in delay we have send you beautiful and the best items in best quality!! Hello- I emailed last week about a jacket I purchased at your Florence store on July 15th. I still have not received this jacket and no one ever called me back last week when I was told you would call me in 10 minutes. I have tried emailing and it keeps bouncing back. I hate to go thru Trip Advisor but this is the only way I can get a response. Thanks, B. Stevens
