‪Amazing Florence food tour‬

‪Wonderful food tour! This is my third food tour in other countries and this one was fabulous. Toni is passionate about Florence and so knowledgeable about wine, balsamic vinegar and gastronomy in general. She has an interesting background and has curated with a great deal of thought and planning the locations and vendors. She also leaves you with her own hand picked list of where to go for the “best of”in Florence. I highly recommend this tour. It will be one of our best of memories of Florence.‬

‪Florence's "Back Stage Tour" for Foodies‬

‪Toni Durante of Taste Florence Food Tours is an incredibly knowledgeable and personable tour guide. While she's telling you the background of everything you're eating and sipping, she's making sure her network of wine shops, bakeries, market merchants, pastry shops and gelateria are ready for your arrival. Seeing the Mercato Centrale with Toni is like a back stage tour of your favourite theatre for a foodie. The best 4 hours of my recent trip to Tuscany. So highly recommended!‬

‪Florence Food Tour —- The Original. The Best.‬

‪I’ve done food tours in many cities throughout the world and Toni’s passion for Florence and food is unparalleled. We were a group of 7gals, and once she knew that, she let us know we’d be going to “all the hunky butchers!” 🤣

Seriously though, wherever we went, Toni was a hit with those we visited. It’s clear she’s serious about Florence, food, and ensuring you have a wonderful time exploring Florence’s food and history.

I highly, highly recommend her tour for a fun and delicious wander through the various neighborhoods of Florence.‬

‪Great experience with Toni‬

‪My wife and I heard Toni’s interview with Rick Steves and immediately signed up for her tour and we were not disappointed. The tour features a great mix of sweet & savory food and several wines. The interactions and relationships that Toni has with the vendors at the tour stops in “her neighborhood” clearly show the passion that she has for her work and we benefited from that passion. We both highly recommend her tour!‬

‪A wonderful portal into the food and history of food in Florence!‬

‪Allesandro was a fantastic tour guide who is a native Italian, but speaks excellent English. He took us to special gems of restaurants and bakeries and led us around the specialty butchers and artisans at the central market. He was very knowledgeable and we wished we had done his tour earlier in our trip because we learned so much and would have benefitted from his recommendations and information! The trip is lively and fun and each food selection and each location has been chosen with care. All food restrictions and allergies are carefully tended to. What a fantastic way to understand Florence through it's food and the history of it's food!‬

‪A fabulous Food Tour in Florence‬

‪Alejandro was an awesome guide! We started at a patisserie where Julia was hysterically energetic and the bread/treats were delicious. It was lovely to meet Julia’s grandpa who is 93 and still very spry. We spent a good amount of time tasting food in the Market Place, what an amazing experience. We had a lovely wine tasting with food pairing at Enoteca Alesia. Alejandro was very knowledgeable about the wine and it was fun. My husband and I are vegetarian and we had delicious substitutes for the meat portions every where we went. We ended with Gelato, that was super good. I’m sorry I misplaced the paper we got with the list of the names of where we went. Thank you Taste Florence‬

‪Great tour for tasting the local specialties‬

‪This was an amazing experience to taste the local specialties. Small group and very good guide. Alessandro was special. He knew a great deal of the history and knew all the vendors personally. Very considerate of peoples dietary preferences and always made sure everyone was accommodated. It wasn’t that much walking, plenty but not overwhelming for a 4 hour tour. Don’t eat anything before you go you’ll enjoy every stop along the way,‬

‪Our guide Alessandro was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our group. We had a vegetarian and a non drinker. We experienced food and wine from businesses that as tourists we would not have found on our own. A 94 year old woman running the bakery she took over in 1966 that sells out every day, and when you taste her bread you know why ! The market in Florence is something to see with the beautiful fruits and vegetables, numerous cheese and meat vendors , food court and an incredible vibe! We tried a variety of local wines, white, red and Rosé. Gelato from a family run business to wrap it up, a perfect ending . Would highly recommend Taste Florence‬
