‪A lifetime experience‬

‪Some information- you have few options to enjoy the Etna, but of you are OK fit and look for an adventure, this is it.
Option 1- buy a ticket to the cable and enjoy some Lava and ash
Option 2- buy a further ticker to go with the special 4x4 for a better experience
Option 3- If you are in OK shape, take a tour to explore over the top, view the carters, listen to the mountain rumble on the edge of the crater, walk on a moon of lava ash a one in a life time experience.
We chose the ETNA TRIBE, over the top, trip, joined Pietro our guide and Mario a retired guide both with a passion to the mountain and love.
The climb up is slowly climbing about another 400Meter and then we slid down the mountain in an amazing volcano ash.
It depends on the weather, we had the luck to be able also to go to the lava valley.
It is cold above and you need hiking boots they provide you with the equipment.
This was a lifetime experience.‬

‪Etna and Winery Tour‬

‪Our day tour with Francesco Cavallaro to Mt. Etna and wine tasting was really amazing. The Sicilians' passion about their mountain is contagious. Francesco obviously loves imparting his considerable knowledge of Etna's origins and impact on the region.
Our visit to the winery was lovely. They set out a beautiful array of cheese and meats, along with other traditional Sicilian food. We were given six different wines to sample, a mixture of white and red. We enjoyed them all.
I credit the success of our day to Francesco. He was a consummate gentleman and personable, and helped to make the day enjoyable.
I highly recommend this tour.‬

‪What a great experience! Maurizo was an excellent guide mixing in humor with more facts about the volcano than we expected. Everything ran on time: we were picked up near our hotel in downtown Catania at 9 am sharp and were returned there close to 3 pm. I highly recommend this for those who like the outdoors and biological facts. Deborah was very prompt answering questions through text and making sure things were set pre trip and following up after. Thank you!!‬

‪first time the reason why I choice Etna trip was they pick me up from my hostel !I don't need to spent a lot of time for ride a bus or train to go to mt.Etna. It was a really convenient because It's not easy for foreigners to use public transportation in other countries!! I spent a really exciting time in Mt. etna and lava cave with guide simon! he was a very friendly and also gave to me a lot of information about etna and Catania. It was unforgetable exprience to me. thank U so much simmmmmon 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗‬

‪We had a very good experience with Etna trip! The the informations given by the guide in addition to the spectacular panorama made this experience special! We were 7 of us a family and 3 friends some could walk better than others and they managed without any problem to content every one of us ! The ones who could not walk much still saw something and we walked more. A great experience I recommend this agency!‬

‪Guided tour to Siracusa and Noto was spectacular‬

‪Guide Franco led our intimate group in a van to Noto and Siracusa on a tour. One of the great pluses is that the guide picked us up directly at the hotel, and then at the end of the tour, deposited us at the same place. He was very much on time. We drove to Noto where we had a walking tour of the downtown, hopping into a building or two, and marveling at the structures. Noto is well worth seeing: some of the Baroque architecture is eye-popping. There was free time for us to ramble about some shops and to climb to the top of a bell tower to get an ample view of the city. After a short drive to Siracusa, Franco led us around the cathedral and the church where a marvelous Caravaggio is housed. Free time again for lunch and some light shopping. Franco then took us to the archeological sites and let us wander the amphitheater and arena on our own. All in all, despite the blazing heat, we had a wonderful experience with a well-informed guide who was amiable and friendly throughout. Highly recommended.‬

‪Day trip from Malta to sicily ‬

‪From Malta to Sicily for the day trip was a long day but worth every minute. The trip was so well organised from start to finish and the guide was very informative about the places we were visiting go Sicily.mount Etna was erupting while we were on the mountain which was exciting to know while I was there. They have discounts for seniors for this trip from Malta so worth every penny. ‬

‪Depois de alguns quilometros de autocarro chegamos ate junto do funicular que nos levou até cerca dos 2500 metros de altitude. Depois em camions com rodados com muita tracçao fomos mais acima onde a paisagem se troina maravilhosa e que fica na memória para sempre. Adorei.Recomendo.‬

‪Having a driver who was holding and talking on his phone with only one hand on the wheel whilst driving up hairpin bends‬

‪Took an all day coach and ferry trip from Malta to Sicily to visit Mount Etna on Sunday 23 November 2015. We had a two hour scheduled stop there. On arriving at the base of Mont Etna we were told for the first time it would be an extra 30 Euros to catch cable car to top, paid up only to find cable car not working and replaced by 4 wheel drive coach, with a total return trip time of one hour, with no time at the top. We had to wait one whole hour for the coach to arrive resulting in having to get out half way so we could get 15 minuets on the crater. Our driver of the jeep/coach did the upwards journey with only one hand on the wheel and the other holding his mobile phone and having a heated conversation. I took a photo of this but as we were being thrown about so much its not a good image but I am happy to forward to anyone interested.

So to summarise:
Only told of 30 Euros charge at last minute.
The two hours was made up of standing in a queue for one hour and travelling up Etna for 45 min. Leaving 15 minuets to look around.
Having a driver who was holding and talking on his phone with only one hand on the wheel whilst driving up hairpin bends on the crater.

A waste of money and dangerous.‬

We are very sad about this, but this review is not about our activities, perhaps you make some mistake with the name of the company. Sunday 23 November 2014 we were closed and didn't make etna excursions that day. We are interested to receive the picture about the driver to understand what happens and who tell you the name Etna Trip so we can take action against this people.
