Four of us booked for a spa day today and arrived at 10am (was told we could access spa from 9am). I have driven from Harlow, Essex and arranged childcare for the much needed day off! There was a nice lady on the leisure club desk who told us to go through to the spa on the left. I asked if I could use the gym and she said I would have to pay extra. Strange I thought as it’s usually included for a spa day. We walked past the small pool was full of a young kids swimming lesson. Not ideal but I was willing to relax in the spa until it finished. Then we get to the spa - this spa is actually just three treatment rooms on the side of the pool. No one was there to greet us, so we weren’t sure what to do. The leisure desk lady then came and told us we would have to pay extra for the pool. I double checked what my sister-in-law had booked unfortunately small print says you have to pay extra for this. But we still asked where do we go for the spa as we had a spa day booked. Apparently the tiny treatment rooms are the spa - so it looks like my sister-in-law was fooled by the advert and I wasted my time driving there :( will not be coming back here ever again. My gym club looks a better spa than this! Such a let down :(

Fantastic treatments.
I had an eyelash lift and tint, eyebrow wax and tint, results are great. I'm so happy, lots of comments from family and friends.
Jordan was very welcoming with a lovely smile, very welcoming and talked me through what she was doing. 5 star service.
I will definitely be booking more treatments with Pavo Spa.

Me and my partner came for a couples massage and Gosia and Karlie were fantastic!
They were professional, reassuring and incredibly good at what they do!!!
(Please note this is a review for the PavoSpa and *not* the swimming, hot tub, gym facilities at the Great Danes Hotel (this we found very disappointing (no fault of the PavoSpa team - cannot fault them)

Just came back from the spa today with a group of friends and would recommend it. The booking was topsy turvey getting the people together unfortunately I have to get my friend to book it as I lost my voice at that point. I did it with Groupon which was easy and affordable for 4 people. Have to wait around a little bit before we go in. Strong recommendation on bring your own robes and locks unless you want to hire them which costs extra. But overall the staff have been amazing and we are definitely going back.

Wow.. what an amazing group of ladies who work here , I was really nervous to go as have a facial disfigurement and also my first time having a facial, they made me feel so relaxed I actually cried when I came out as gosia (the lovely lady who did the treatment) made me feel so relaxed I felt so amazing when I came out .
I can't say how wonderful the experience was would definitely recommend.

Fantastic couples massage by Karen and Jordan. The ladies were warm and welcoming from the outset and the massage was relaxing and released tension and stress. Would definitely return. Thank you ladies 😃

Arrived at pavo spa to be welcomed by the most polite staff we were treated with exceptionally good service . Treatments were exactly what my wife and I needed . Left leaving relaxed happy and looking forward to our next visit I would totally recommend the pavo spa to friends and family and we will be returning.

Had a brilliant time at Pavo spa with my bestfriends, Karen was absolutely amazing and very helpful. Our back massages were amazing and the facilities at the Spa were also very good. I would definitely come back to pavo spa, it was an amazing relaxing experience.

You can't ask for more in a massage. Goshia was so friendly, professional and just lovely. I had the best massage. She was so accommodating, I felt totally relaxed and pampered. I will definitely be coming here again. Then the added bonus of spa facilities and pool.
