Had a great evening on a Tuesday Jazz jam night. Enjoyed it a lot, staff were great, if you like music and a nice atmosphere then this is the place 😀

We enjoyed a great evening at their Thursday night Blues and Jazz Jam Night. Great atmosphere and fun to watch the Blues dancers from the audience

Flat out great experience!!! The jazz was outstanding. Service atmosphere, vibe, friendly...5 Star The owner came over and introduced herself and numerous regulars.

Sappho Live Jazz was a small bar in an underground location in Taipei, Taiwan. I went there on a Saturday night hopping to enjoy some nice jazz music. There were about 60 people and the place was packed. The band was called The Flat Fives. The music and singing were just average. They played mostly swing music that night. There was a large group of young people dancing the swing. It was noisy. People talked very loudly. It was not a place to enjoy any jazz or nice music. The drink was average. The entry fee was 300 NT plus a minimum charge of 150 NT.

I thought I came to have a nice live jazz evening. Didn’t expect to be in for such a disappointment. Seems like folks came here to chit chat and to compete with the musicians, and not for the music. I can hear conversations from across the stage! The musicians deserve more respect than was afforded.

I went on Saturday night for a date. While the band was late in arriving, they made up for it with a great performance. The cover was inexpensive (300 NTD), the drinks were very reasonable and most importantly, the jazz was fantastic. We will return and have mentioned this to 3 other friends already.

店內消費為門票300+低消150起跳，就能夠享受到一杯飲料和約2小時的爵士樂團現場表演，樂團也都有相當水準，尤其真正樂手所在玩的爵士樂並非一般bar的駐唱表演樂團或歌手所能勝任的。
算是喜好爵士的人值得前來享受的地方。

朋友的朋友剛好今晚在此演奏，因而來欣賞。入場需要300元。現場演奏的功力真的很棒！我們看了兩組樂團表演，都是高水準演出。

Den Club kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen, wir haben FFF! gehört am 2.11.18, wobei MinYen Hsieh die eigentlichen Stars ziemlich an die Wand gespielt hat, und das Zusammenspiel nicht immer klappte, aber tolle Aufführung, Der Club ist nett, man sollte reservieren wenn man einen Tisch will, und dann um einen vor der Bühne fragen, es gibt auch welche links daneben. Vom Essen rate ich eher ab, es gibt nicht einmal alles, was auf der Karte auf der Website steht, eigentlich nur ein paar frittierte Sachen, also vorher essen, und im Sappho nur was trinken.

What an unbelievable down to earth place where every visitor is there to celebrate life and those who can play an instrument do. No matter who, where from, whatsoever. Just enjoy. Super friendly staff and fantastic shows, again by just normal people from everywhere around the world.
