A great way to explore beautiful Taiwan. The grasshopper self guided tour gives you the flexibility to set your own pace with Grasshopper designing an excellent itinerary and coordinating the logistics. From cycling through the picturesque Taroko Gorge, lush agriculture fields, over hills and to the coast - a great way to see Taiwan. We highly recommend.

We just finished this cycle tour, our second with Grasshopper. We chose Grasshopper after a brilliant experience in Myanmar. Our high expectations were surpassed. The route was excellent, a mix of uphills to mountain villages, long downhills, longer distances on the flat with mountains just to our side, and a lovely last day on the coast. The accommodation was brilliant, our guide was fantastic and had amazing local knowledge. We even threw in two snorkelling sessions at a beautiful reef. The food was fantastic, bikes well maintained. Wouldn't have changed a thing.

You could not ask for a better experience traveling. We had a small group of friends cycling together. The bikes were in excellent shape. The route provided by grasshopper was excellent. The accommodation was unique and beautiful every day. Best of all was our outstanding guide, Mandy. She was so organized and full of information on the local area. She was also just so much fun to be around and kept us laughing every day. I would highly recommend Grasshopper Adventures to anyone looking for an incredible experience.

We did the quintessential Bike Taiwan tour along the East Coast. Simon and his team were wonderful tour guides. They were organized, supportive, and genuinely cared for your needs. The food was excellent. In a country where seafood is a staple at every meal, we never went hungry even with a seafood allergy. Some of the accommodations were so spectacular and unique. What a great way to see the country on a bike. Do it with Grasshopper!!!

Amazing.We started from Taroko and cycled down to Kenting. The route was preplanned and saved in GPS cycling computer by Grasshopper. This was very comfortable to follow the road. We never get lost from the road. The route was very beautiful. The roads are very good quality, safe and quiet. The accomodation, booked by Grasshopper was also very good. I certainly recommend this kind of trip and I certainly recommend cycling in (Eastern) Taiwan.

The ride was little tougher than we hoped and we had to rely on our guide and support vehicle a lot. Everything was really good, and our guide was excellent.

Amazing trip overall - brilliantly organised, great routes and support. I would thoroughly recommend it. Everything was incredibly well taken care of from pre-trip communication to bike set up to safety briefings to some idyllic stays along the way. Tot, Mandy and Kenji make a super team and were always there if we needed anything.

Just completed a ride down the east coast of Taiwan, with the fabulous Emily as our guide. Great food, accommodation and support for the two of us in scorching heat, wind and a little rain! Sensible itinerary built by Tot and Simon, great communication pre trip from the office, including restaurant tips in Taipei from Mandy! A great team effort!

Cycled with a Grasshopper tour on east coast of Taiwan and had a great trip. They took care of all the details, food was great and accommodation was fine for what we paid and what was available in the area. Would highly recommend the east coast of Taiwan and rift valley as a cycle touring destination and Grasshopper does a great job showing riders the best of it.
