Wonderful bartenders and peeps working at this bar! Always greet you with genuine hugs and smiles. We go here almost every weekend :) always fun and a great place to meet and make new friends

This bar was ok for a few drinks and a game of darts. It has a down stairs and up both a good size. The bar staff are friendly and speak good English and will happily have a shot or two with you.

I am new to Hsinchu and my wife and I asked some co workers where to go. They recommended October and it was great. On the weekdays it is quiet but the staff is nice, the music is great and the beer is cold. Friday and Saturday it gets a bit busier but the crowd was great and we had a wonderful time. Will be going back again soon!

Certainly will not be going back to this bar. People there are rude, ignorant and very unpleasant. If they are not trying to crack onto your wife every time you leave the bar for the rest room, they are staring at you or making you fell uncomfortable. Lots of bad language, smoke and dreadful customer service. This is not a bar for the family or husband and wife to enter and enjoy. If you like drunken idiots, aggression ,and the feeling of your not welcome then this is the place for you. You have be warned !

Very nice place to wind down and meet people. Large bar and many seats for groups. Best music collection and they take any request you have. A lot of foreigners and locals hang out here. Staff is very friendly. Special kudos to Joyce who will make sure you have a good time.

This is a split level bar with very good ambiance. Plenty of places to sit or stand. They have the (pretty standard) electronic dartboard along with a reasonable selection of drinks at reasonable prices.
This is a more decent option that some of the busier bars in Hsinchu as even though it gets busy, it's always easy to be able to sit down and have a conversation with people. It never gets too hectic, but conversely, there's usually a few people in here so you never feel it's empty either.
One of the best in Hsinchu to be sure.. :)

October has an extensive CD collection as displayed behind their bar. I'm not exactly sure if they accept requests or permit anyone to go back and peruse, but it's impressive none the less. Darts are available here. This bar is along a walking area that has quite a few clean and sophisticated bars, and this one fits well among them. The drinks are a little expensive for Hsinchu, but the bars in Hsinchu aren't usually as clean and new as this one. English is almost none existent so brush up on your Mandarin before you come.
