I am biased because I was born in this beautiful town and moved as a child to the north. In any case, I believe that Monte Sant’Angelo and this neighborhood have nothing to envy to the more famous Ostuni called the White City. The Junno district of Monte Sant’Angelo has these small houses with unique panoramic views of the Adriatic coast. To see!

A wonderful blend of the mountainous terrain, exquisite southern Italian architecture and the wide sea views. It does not matter if you walk through the city or just sit and stare at the sea and the mountains, you won't regret that you stop at this place.

Junno neighborhood is very characteristic, white in color which makes it visible even from afar, you can walk around it with very beautiful streets. It would be nice if all neighborhoods were like this.

Antico rione medievale della città, conserva intatto il suo reticolo di stradine e case bianche. Da visitare assolutamente, io consiglio durante il giorno affinché il sole renda ancora più evocativa l'atmosfera prodotta dal bianco delle case

Il rione si trova praticamente sotto il castello e l'abbazia di S. Michele ed è fomato da casette a schiera realizzate sulle pendici del monte che sale verso il castello. Da farci un giro assolutamente

Das Rione Junno ist ein mittelalterliches Viertel mit kleinen, weißen Reihenhäusern. Die Häuser wurden genutzt als Unterkunft für
die vielen Pilger der Kirche Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo, in der der Erzengel Michael drei Mal erschienen sein soll, und hatten eine maximale Größe von 30 Quadratmetern. Früher wurden die Häuser von großen Familien mit bis zu 10 Personen bewohnt. Unweit entfernt ist die Altstadt.

Rione costruito sulle pendici della montagna, con case a schera realizzate su due piani per effetto della pendenza. E' l'emblema architettonico di Monte sant'Angelo, importaante centro del Gargano che deve il suo nome ed il suo sviluppo alla presenza del culto di san Michele che è documentato da 490 d.C., e che ha alimentato nei secoli un importante pellegrinaggio che ha segnato il paesaggio e lo svluppo del promontorio del Gargano, trasformando Monte sant'Angelo in un caposaldo del culto micheliano a livello mondiale.

Si tratta del quartiere sorto attorno al santuario ed al castello, che conserva tutte le caratteristiche originali delle architetture medievali.
