Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche mit Freunden auf Pietralta erlebt. Vor 10 Jahren war ich schon einmal mit meinem Mann für eine Woche auf der Azienda. Es hat sich nicht viel verändert. Die Wohnungen sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet und alle in einem guten Zustand. Wir waren eine Woche fast alleine, da wir 3 Wohnungen belegt hatten. Der Pool ist eine schöne Abwechslung. Auf dem Geburtstag meines Mannes hat Franca uns ein sehr sehr schmackhaftes Menü aufgetischt, ihr Sohn hat für uns gegrillt. Wir haben noch nie sooooo gute Nudeln gegessen. Die begleitenden Weine sind sehr gut. Franca hat uns mehrere Menüvorschläge geschickt und wir haben uns für dreierlei Bruschetta, Nudeln, Grillplatte und Kuchen als Nachtisch entschieden. Einfach ein toller Aufenthalt und nur zu empfehlen.
Nicht vergessen: Olivenöl, Wein und Grappa mit nach Hause nehmen!

Fantastico soggiorno. È bello sentirsi a casa grazie all'ospitalità di Franca e Stefan!
A poca distanza dai magnifici borghi del senese, posto consigliatissimo per una vacanza rilassante e a contatto con la natura. Non dimenticatevi di gustare il vino dell'azienda!

Vi havde booket en lejlighed i 13 dage. Stedet er smukt og bygningen fra år 1200 er helt fantastisk. Vi havde dog det mest forfærdelige ophold. Billederne på nettet stemte på ingen måder overens med billederne på hjemmesiden. Alt var misligeholdt og mangelfuldt og der var ikke gjort rent. Vi fandt først musselort i skabet med skraldespanden, hvilket man kan forvente. Men senere fandt vi også musselort i vores seng.
Franca der ejer stedet med hendes søn, var ikke imødekommende og tiltalte os konstant med sure sætninger på italiensk.
Det virkede ikke sol om hun havde lyst til at drive hendes sted, men at man var til gene. Vi endte med at tage hjem dagen før, da det var så ubehageligt at være der.
Tag aldrig til dette sted. Vi var så kede af det, da vi kom hjem. Familien fra Danmark.

My boyfriend and I were staying in Volterra and were driving to San Gimignano when we saw a sign for wine in the middle of the rolling hills. We followed the signs down a small lane for 5 minutes before ending up at a wonderful traditional Tuscan house complete with amazing views and a swimming pool. We wandered into the little shop there where we were greeted by a lovely lady. We asked if it was just okay to taste or have a glass of wine without buying and she said of course. We tried two wines, both Chianti as we were in the capital of Chianti vineyards and both made by the owners themselves. We enjoyed our wine in the sunshine, admiring the views and playing with the dogs and paid a mere €12 in total. Was a lovely way to spend an hour in the afternoon.

Een prachtige plek om te verblijven met genoeg te zien in de omgeving! Heerlijk zwembad, lekkere wijnen en grappa!

Having visited several wineries in the area for really enjoyable tastings we arrived at this one after seeing the signpost along the road. Nobody else was around and when the lady arrived after we pressed the buzzer we were not greeted with much enthusiasm at all - totally unlike any of the other places we've gone to which was very disappointing. She allowed us to try 4 bottles - none of which seemed to stand out, she offered no extra information - just watched us sip the wine and that was it. No snacks offered or even water until asked for. We noticed a charge per person for a tasting (we hadn't seen that at other, better, wineries) so bought the cheapest bottle and left. Easily the worst tasting experience we've had out of 5 and would not recommend either for the wine or the experience.

We spent a wonderful week at Pietralta at the end of June. Our apartment was in a very old stone refurbished farmhouse in a rustic but modern apartment. Our small private patio overlooked the countryside spotted with vineyards and olive trees. There were large clumps of sage and rosemary planted on the edge of the patio, so the air was scented with herbal smells. We enjoyed sitting there sipping on wines from their vineyards while watching the sun set.
This was a perfect home base to explore nearby Tuscan hill towns.
During our stay we had a cooking lesson with a dear friend of Franka, Arcangela (spoke only Italian). She had a farm near where we were staying. Everything we cooked was fresh from her farm that day. She gathered porcini mushrooms from the forest and killed and dressed one of her rabbits. We made focaccia; tagliatelle from farina flour; fried zucchini and zucchini blossoms; we battered and fried the rabbit; tiramisu for dessert. We ate our feast at a long table outside overlooking the Tuscan hills while the sun set with her family and friends. Couldn't understand a word, but lots of laughter and good times .
Thank you Franka and Stefan, for a wonderful experience and treating us like family.

In vacanza a Gambassi Terme abbiamo chiamato all'ultimo per fare una degustazione vini in questa azienda agricola. Luogo incantevole nel mezzo delle colline toscane, nonostante il poco preavviso la signora che gestisce l'agriturismo è stata gentilissima e disponibile ad elencarci e spiegarci ogni singolo vino provato. Tutto molto buono è impossibile andare via senza almeno qualche bottiglia di buon Chianti.

Devo essere nel film del mitico film di Mario Monicelli.
Chianti doc ottimo e bio, ma anche agriturismo, con arrosto di capriolo e piscina.
Non so da che parte cominciare.
La strada che corre sulle colline ondulate , "l'insegna" all'inizio dello sterrato che è una magnifica installazione di carri sovrapposti, poi i filari pettinati delle viti, l'uliveta, gli alberi frondosi intorno al casale, poco più giù le cantine, sculture e tele dipinte, e una stratificazione di cose belle dai fossili, ebbene sì il mare era di casa più o meno nel pleistocene e arando il terreno le grandi conchiglie tornano agli onori del mondo.
Una signora milanese doc e il marito, molto tedesco, trent'anni fa danno vita ad una loro utopia. Ora l'azienda può contare anche su Stephan che racchiude pragmaticità tedesca e versatilità italiana, ma che costanza ed eleganza!

Für unsere Tochter Maria (7 Jahre), meine Frau und mich, waren die 10 Tage, die wir auf Pietralta verbringen durften ein wunderschönes Erlebnis! Wir konnten die Ruhe am Pool und dem herrlichen Ausblick auf die Toskanische Landschaft bei schönem Wetter jeden Tag genießen. Mit den Fahrrädern besuchten wir San Gimignano, Volterra und Gambassi Terme, mit dem Auto Sienna. Jeder Ausflug war ein Erlebnis.
Dank der Besitzerin Franka und ihrem Sohn Stefan hatten wir jederzeit sehr zuvorkommende Ansprechpartner, wenn wir eine Frage hatten. Vielen Dank dafür!!!
