Absolutely atrocious. I took the 2 hr whale/dolphin watching, which was a complete waste of time and money. They warn you that you may not see dolphins/whales, which is absolutely fair enough. What they don’t tell you is that, apart for a 30 second spiel at the beginning, where they say nothing is guaranteed but you might see anything from turtles to sharks, the crew provide absolutely no guidance. After this initial briefing, we coasted around for 2 hrs seeing absolutely no sign of sea life whatsoever. No apparent attempt to attract any animals (eg by food). We saw more marine life sprinkling fish food back at port. When i asked them what went wrong, there was simply a shrug of the shoulders. Given the price of the experience I’d expect at least some kind of understanding or ability to articulate what was going on. Completely amateurish, shameful profiteering.

Poison. Better off buying 40 euro worth of fish food on harbour and actually see some fish.
Noisy. See sick . Warm . Kids seen more fish in the chipper

Absolutely disgusting to see sea lions in a pool about 10m x 5m. All day every day. How is this legal? How empty of morals are people to think this is ok?

When visiting the area, we discovered you could book a swimming with sealions experience for €45 each. My 15 yr old son, who is obsessed with seals/sealions, wanted to do this, so we booked for him to do it a few days later. Due to having autism my husband had to book a place to participate too, so €90 for 2 people. Booked for 10.30pm, we were advised to arrive by 10.15 am on the day to allow time to get into wetsuits.
On the day we arrived slightly early as requested to be then told the activity didn't start till 10.30pm so wait till then.
Whilst waiting at 10.15am, there was a session where people could just sit on a bench and have 1 photo of a sealion kissing them. We were informed that this was a separate activity and an additional price. We was then advised that the session we had booked included receiving a sealion kiss whilst out in the water, so we declined and decided to wait for our experience.
Whilst waiting, we could only see 1 sealion. Just before 10.30 a.m., we noticed a couple of members of staff looking in a smaller separate pool towards the back of the attraction and looking out to sea. One member of staff, at the kiosk, then informed my family and another couple that the activity couldn't go ahead as one sealion was missing and didn't want to show itself to do the activity. As she informed us of this, the said sealion made an appearance. It must have been missing for a considerable amount of time as the trainer broke down in a relief of actual tears and had to be comforted.
Although there were now 2 sealions, we were only offered the option of rescheduling for the previous day. When I informed the member of staff that we were not staying in the area and had travelled here specifically to do the activity, we was then offered a refund. The attitude though of the last wasn't pleasant. When I asked if we could at least do the sealion kiss having travelled all that way and having a son with autism stood rather upset, we was rudely informed that we'd had the opportunity when we arrived earlier, yet that was a separate activity to the one we had booked. When I said if we had known in advance that our activity would be cancelled we would have done that, her reply was she didn't know until exactly 10.30am that the sealion wasn't there to do the activity.
The member of staff at first proceeded to reschedule the couple back in for the following day. Whilst doing so we overheard her explaining to them that the previous day or large shoal of fish had got into the enclosure and and the sealions had fed so much on them, due to being full one of them hadn't surfaced since the previous day and now it had it required medicine which is why although it had made an appearance the activity couldn't go ahead. I was quietly discussing with my husband after overhearing this, that this was a little contradicting as we had literally just been told they didn't know until 10.30am that the activity couldn't go ahead, yet they had stated to other customers they knew the sealions had overfed the previous day, new one was missing, and knew even if it did make an appearance it needed medicine treatment and therefore the activity was not going ahead! Therefore they knew that information at 10.15am when I could have booked the additional activity for my son to get a sealion kiss, but I declined when they said he'd get it with his activity at 10.30am which they knew at the time wasn't going ahead, but kept quite!
Whilst discussing this quietly with my husband, the member of staff rudely came over and in a loud voice so others around the kiosk could hear and said she didn't like my attitude! My response was to explain to her that 1) she had contradicted herself by suggesting she didn't know until 10.30am the activity couldn't go ahead and 2) it was her that rudely stormed to the other end of the counter where me and my husband was talking amongst ourselves and started going off on one.
Although I fully understand these are animals and therefore situations like this can certainly be unpredictable, the customer service of the staff was very poor. On our arrival just before 10.15am they could have been honest from the start and explain what had happened regarding the sealions overfeeding and state even if the missing one appeared, the activity was cancelled as it required medicine. I stated we was originally got going to be given a receipt anyway and could show her the bank transaction on our banking app. Eventually it was agreed we could be refunded in cash.
Since this morning I've looked at the reviews and noticed many others have received similar poor customer service and rudeness from certain members of staff. Due to the customer service received alone, and not the reason why the activity was cancelled I would not recommend this attraction and wouldn't book in the future.

Glass bottom boat was great little trip. We heard other people moaning but for a good price it was a welcome experience when the weather was a bit mad on 16 Feb 2023. Really friendly staff and the sea lions popping up whilst we waited was cool. To the people who tried to get us to complain because they felt they hadn't seen as many fish as in Australia... are you OK...? We saw plenty including a barracuda. Changing the day was our only issue as we do not believe it was the weather... the Tuesday that week was calm and much better weather than the Thursday... probably low numbers... be honest

Offrir plus d'espace, de meilleures conditions de vie à ces pauvres animaux exploités qui vivent dans une mini piscine.

Very disappointed & sad to see these animals being exploited for peoples pleasure - saying they were born in captivity doesn’t make this any better. People should be teaching their children better not flocking to get that photo of their kids being kissed by a sea lion

Can you kiss the sea Lion On the mouth? How much the pictures with sea Lion? How high is the pool water? Thank you

Hi Elisa!
You can ask to the trainer at the moment you’re doing it, but normally she kiss you on the cheek. The kiss it’s 7€ and the printed photo 5€ extra and it is optional.
How deep the pool is depends on the tide, but if you will do the swimming with them, we provide a life jacket, so you’ll be floating all the time.

Elisa
